- Celebrity Ascent is the cruise line's newest ship, coming in at a reported cost of $900 million. The line invited me aboard for a sneak peak of the ship, including getting to see some spots that most people never get to experience like the ship's bridge and behind the scenes at the theater.
Believe me, there are some jaw dropping things here that you don't want to miss. I'll show you everything -- including those behind-the-scenes spots -- so you can see it all for yourself.

Wow this ship 🚢 is amazing so beautiful ❤
Great review!
Well done. I just disembarked BEYOND for 2nd (Xcellent) time after once on EDGE. I board ASCENT on 1/21/24. It will be my 35th Celebrity cruise (Elite Plus loyalty level). Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Awesome looking ship! I have never sailed Celebrity, but this has me considering it!
I really enjoy their customer service. I love Royal but Celebriy's service is another notch higher. I wasn't expecting room attendants 2ce a day.
Been sailing Celebrity since 2016 and never looked back! Excellent review!
Yes, I understand why!
Omg. Been on several Celebrity ships! All are spacious compared to other cruiselines. The Edge class takes the cake tho!
I came away super impressed.
I just got off a Celebrity ship 3 days ago & a Royal ship a few months prior. My major demands are having more than 6 hot tubs for an entire ship, bringing back basic soft serve machines (even though gelato is nice), & having some version of water slide or lazy river even on adult focused ships. 👍🏼
Celebrity has been my favorite cruise line. I actually have the Reflection coming up and then also the Apex in the spring. I am excited to see the first generation of Edge class and then find an Ascent sailing that works later next year, to compare. The retreat cost did sting a bit, lol I had to throw back a couple drinks before I booked it! Celebrity really took it up a notch with this series of ships. They do have to spend some money refurbishing the older ships though and complete the revolution schedule that halted during the shutdown.
Great review! We are on the Ascent 2 weeks from today for A Christmas Cruise and have never sailed Celebrity.
We've been on Carnival, MSC, Royal, Virgin and Norwegian.
My girlfriend is curious about dinner dress codes for the both of us. Are shorts forbidden for us guys?
Yes, some fine print on the daily planner says "shorts are not allowed in the evening hours (except for the Oceanview Cafe)."

Ok I guess I will suffer through it. Ha!
We are also doing some special Holiday meal in the Steakhouse Christmas Eve. Should be great...
Not my ship though I hope it is a success for the passengers and crew.
not a fan of infinite verandas
Haven't sailed one yet, but I can see why some people wouldn't like them. It's the difference between actually being outside and just opening a window.
