    Hello James, the new system really suits the bike. I did wonder if the brushed stainless steel System would look out of place but, it goes with the alloy casings and anodised wheels. Very smart looking.
    Cheers Keith

    Presumably, you can get the bike through the MOT in the UK without a problem. I am in Thailand with a free breathing Interceptor and I know that they stick a probe into the silencers to check the emissions as part of the test once the bike is 5 year old. I am not sure how I will get on, but I may have to reinstall the original system for the test.

      Fortunately, the mot test here didn’t test the exhaust emissions…

      I’m in Thailand as well and I have kept the original exhausts just incase I’ll get the bike into the MOT too😅
      same bike by the way.

    If you hadn't done the air injection delete mod you'd have got a lot of snap crackle and pop when coming off the throttle.
    I know that from experience with my Interceptor. I did the delete mod after fitting my new exhaust.
    The air delete sorted that out on my bike.
    Ride safe

    Nice " Look " ,,, waiting for road test and a bit of a long term review..... also.. the seat cover is starting to grow on me... 😎

      The seat cowl is easily removed by unscrewing two allen bolts. However, I kept the old seat after fitting a different one. So I just swap seats if I have a pillion. I bought the seat from an ebay seller in India.

      My seat is also a touring one and has a raised pillion bit. The cowl is a perfect fit…..

    Confirms my thoughts on the bike which is great stock but far better with a few mods.I look forward to your video on clutch or clutch spring replacement! After I added those headers it made so much difference the clutch slips during "spirited" overtakes.

      @internetpolification  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Wow…impressive. I’m sure stronger springs are available. It’s quite an easy job….

    Looks like you've made a great choice. I wish I'd known about this before I got the poor Tec system.

      @andrewrymell1 Před 3 měsíci +2

      Hey, just wondering what is the issue with the Tec system? I made the choice to just go for end cans (went for Diablo J11C which seem pretty OK) but now want to go for headers, and was looking at Tec headers, so interested in your thoughts if you get a chance to reply? Thanks!

      A Lithium battery only weighs about 1kg & stock battery is about 4kg.A Shorai Lithium Iron battery 🔋 are rechargeable & recharge once every 6-12 months.Also removing stock battery & it's 3kg extra weight over a Lithium battery lower weight even more & have better battery 🔋.
      3kg you're removing is high up to so handling be improved alot especially manoeuvring around.So if your battery fails replace with a Lithium ion or Lithium Iron battery.

    A lot of comments from me lately, sorry mate!
    That SAS, secondary air system, is there to spare the cat (or cats!) for unburned fuel. Especially when cold. So bin that. A beautiful bike indeed.
    I will buy a second bike in the near future. But I'm on the fence. Would a used T100 or Street Twin be a better option than the RE? I do like the simplicity of the RE. Aircooled and not much electronics. But like the reliability of the Triumph. Or is the RE just as good?
    I ask you, because you had 59 bikes and I only had around 20. 🙂But in 40 years.
    I'm not looking for high powers (obviously), I have the 790 Duke for that. Any thoughts?
    Cheers!

    • @internetpolification
      @internetpolification  Před 3 měsíci

      Interesting! Thank you. Personally I’d buy the RE. Air cooling is something I personally prefer for its simplicity. And the Interceptor
      is an inexpensive bike that is gear to ride! Even with the tweaks required, many of which are preventative……
