Solving Anterior Crossbite With Elastics｜【Chris Chang Ortho】CC556

A 24-year-old female presented with anterior crossbite and deep bite. Intra-oral examination revealed missing UL6 and previously endodontically treated UL5, LL6, and LR6. The lower first molars were extracted to provide space for retraction and an implant was planned at the UL6 edentulous area. Early light short Class III elastics were used for retraction of the lower dentition and protraction of the upper teeth. This case demonstrated the power of Class III elastics and how orthodontics and dental implants helped reestablish function and esthetics.
一名24歲少女因為前牙錯咬、深咬而前來求診。口內檢查顯示病人的UL6缺失，且 UL5,LL6以及LR6有做過根管治療。治療計劃為拔除下排第一大臼齒以及利用植體重建UL6缺牙區。為了將下排牙齒向後拉，使用第三類橡皮筋。這個案例展示了第三類橡皮筋的利用，以及如何利用矯正和植體協同治療，恢復病人的功能和美觀。
