ESPN really needs to keep this same energy in the middle of winter and stand on this content. If not then just run replays or close in the summer. There’s only so much Lebron stuff they can talk about.
There’s a monetary incentive to show “traditional” sports like basketball or football. I always found those sports to be boring but the audience is huge.
World Cup will be happening, everyone except for a portion of America will be enjoying the winter.

That’s how it is in real time. People take training and winning seriously but at the end of the day everyone’s just hyping each other up and having fun. ESPN focused on scores in the broadcast because they don’t trust Americans to watch anything that isn’t a formal competition

I think they are real thing from some time already but not much exposure. There it's a reddit made by fans/community years ago that still works.

I'm not an expert, but some landings was way off, even one in the top 4. Beans landing was perfect!
Think there should be more rules for the landing alone, most of the competitors had a different approach than the other in that aspect.
This sport is super fun to watch, wish I learned this 20 years ago! :P Off to more Death Dive videos!!
Agree more rules! A tripple tucked gainer should not get as much points as it did... I get vibs from normal diving and i hop it doesn't go that way. diversity and style in the Air should count more. Landings not so important but more more pain more gain ;)
Classic Dods has more formalized rules for landing.
Yeah. The degree of difficulty might be considered, but the rawness of people doing crazy s#!t off of a ten meter platform and entering for splash....

Hahaha, definitely a lot of practice involved here actually! Timing and rotations to land in a perfect dod is trickier than it might look.

I've jumped off that cliff. You can get to it for free from your boat on lake Travis. Or you can go to the State Park that has camping and hike over to the spot instead. The height of the jump can be huge or not so huge depending on the height of the water in the lake at the time. That big rock in the water above the boat (right at the beginning of the video) is a fun spot to jump from too. At the time of this contest the lake level was approximately 638 feet, when it's full it's 681 feet. You can see the high water mark on the rock by the boat and on the cliff behind it. Had they held this contest at the end of the year the jump would have been another 10 feet higher....
