Fantastic bit of BTCC racing. When BTCC was epic and much better, with real showroom cars that were stripped out and uprated for safety and speed. Unlike todays cars
Oh I know, everything in the world was so much better back in 1987. The music, the movies, the BTCC racing, the food, the weather, things even had better colours and smelled nicer in 1987.
@@darren2514fv i thought until recently Harvey and Neal were still racing cos i know Plato is definitely still racing.....and hes like in his bloody late 50s or now in his 60s cant believe it
Fast and furious should have used those 3 SD1s they're formation is flawless. Moving as a unit. Left for 💩 by the cosworth but a 5L 💩 box cant get near them.
2.8L RS cosworth 😮 what what WHat!! I know they used the v6 bottom end but i thought cosworths were still 2L. 2.8L is like 40% more no wonder they made road cosworth cars look like mom cars. Until cosworth made the moms one. The escort 😢
The BTCC at the best it ever was IMO...with the best commentator ever!
Leech a legend amongst SD1 BTCC !!!
My dad owned that car for a short while
Good old Dennis Leech in his 18L Rover :D
Thanks for uploading this video Richard. From back in the days when Silverstone used to be good.

@@benconway9010 Tim Harvey is now retired and is now working for ITV as a co-commentator

I really see the mondeo in that Sierra too lol. 😅😅😅
Well put it this way none of those cars behind had any chance of catching the Cossie 500 wat so ever I mean he's just left them behind
Wasn’t it an XR4t
@@leeallen8415 In the last two races of 1987 the ICS cars were Sierra Cosworth RS500
These early Sierra's were not 500's
@@MrPlumbitrightthat ICS rouse car is in fact a RS500, has both rear spoilers and front bumper.
This race was the sign of things to come for the championship. Sierra wins easily. Rovers on their way out
