      That's because the reference labelled as "Middle Eastern" was based on the Negev Bedouins.
      MyHeritage is an Israeli company, with particular focus on Jews and Israeli Arabs.
      That's why there are so many Jewish references that end up in the results.
      Bedouins aren't more Middle Eastern than the settled Levantines.
      In fact, they tend to have a lot of North African and Sub-Saharan DNA.

      All ancient Israelis looked like that even people like Jesus as well. Yet the colonisers discriminate the native people of that reigon based on their looks. British colonisers opressed people from there but they claim descent from prophet muhammad banu hashim and 10 lost tribes of Israel who were brown. Which is Ironic.

      @farawla9465 Před rokem +3

      Yeah but within the Middle East there are lots of ethnic groups so they’re not purely anything lol. If you watch closely it even breaks it down. They clearly have some Jewish ancestry as it shows Sephardic groups being linked. It’s not uncommon for Palestinians aswell to have some Jewish ancestry due to conversion to Christianity and Islam over time and marrying with Arabs. Please also don’t forget that the latter are Arabicised like Syrians etc. they maintain their original ethnicity with some admixture of Arabian, iranic, North African etc.
      When it says Moroccans, Ethiopians, Syrians etc. it’s making reference to their samples and these people have their own breakdowns too. So a Syrian would have Aramaic, some Arabian, some Anatolian, usually some southern European due to the history of Greeks and romans in Syria and some North African. Much like me lol.

      Bedouins are groups in the deserts of south-west Asia and North Africas.
      This test does not imply that Turks have Bedouin origins. It doesn't even test Turks.
      Dark skin is very uncommon among Turks, unless you consider olive tone as dark.
      The olive tone comes from indigenous Anatolians and Central Asian Turks who invaded the region.
      As for Tunceli, most of it's population are Kurds or Zaza. They are Iranic peoples and the darker skin tones come from indigenous Zagros-Taurus mountaineers.
      Those who have untanned brown skin are mixed. It could be from Roma, Afro-Turks, South Arabians or other foreign elements.
