In this video, I'm making a helmet in a Chinese style. This is a sports adaptation for buhurts. The skull of the helmet is 3 mm and the rest is 2 mm thick. The material is tempered 30hgsa steel. Inside the helmet, there's a soft lining to avoid head trauma.
• Forging chinese steel ...
Forging steel fantasy helmet . This is a medieval defense against a sword, ax, halberd. Armor of the knight. No words, voice , music like Freerk Wieringa , Torbjörn Åhman , Rune Malte Bertram-Nielsen
Reminds me of something in 300 when the Spartans battle the immortals
You know what, once I don't have neighbors anymore, I wanna try my hand at this
Amazing helmet mask though I will say that the eye holes are a little large and would be a disadvantage for the user of the helmet. Would you be able to show us the process of making a Roman Cavalry Mask?
Incredible work.
Absolutely beautiful!
The part that makes the Chinese warrior mask is very valuable for reference👍🏻
Great work!
Parabéns ótimo trabalho 👏 sucesso aí irmão 🤜🤛
Appreciate your hard work 😙👏👏👏👏👏
Fantastic work.! I'm a metal shaper, but limited to reproduction of antique, or custom automotive and motorcycle parts. The artistic side of metal shaping is always amazing to me. I recognize the off dolly and on dolly techniques, and when and why you switched between the two, but I don't think I would ever be able to make a face like that.. But after seeing your inspiring video, I might have to give it a go..!! Thanks for posting.!
Do you know anyone willing to do a commission for a metal-mask?
Amazing Craftsmanship 👍🏻👍🏽👍
Wow, that's impressive.
This is art
Incredible art.
Amazing skill 👍
0:42 😅ready
Nice work at all
not sure what the point is but a really nice aesthetic very skillfully done
Not gonna lie. Noses never look right for me. Yours looks great. 👍
Now i´m gonna have nightmares!
How did the metal turn gold exactly? Was the brush extending a torch heat blue process or was the torches heat making the copper deposit onto the metal? Very cool trick!
not copper, an annealing process, the steel changes colour at different temperatures.
@marksmallman4572 Yeah that was my first guess. I've seen cases of straw blue and blue-blue from cooling in the air but I never seen it end with a black haze over the top and able to be polished out. I kinda thought a polish would affect its color
@@hughgrection3052 the upper gold area you ask in the first comment is show in the video. The steel is heated, then a brass wire wheel brush is used. This deposits the brass onto the steel to give the gold finish
@facs599 Ahhhh... ok. Makes sense. Yeah wasn't sure if it was there already and was being revealed somehow, or if it was a straw gold heat treat. Brass being transferred makes good sense. Thanks bud
@@hughgrection3052 no bother man
Nice
dem antlers though
Great
Looking for a metal mask-commission, Do you do them? How much do you charge?
Can someone explain to me what the green stuff he rubs on the mask is at 10:35 and what's the purpose for its use?
Hermoso!!!
Hi do you do commissions?
What kind of steel and what’s the gauge? Nice job.
Yes, I would like to know this as well lol
1.5mm mild steel from the writing on the metal at 4:24
How much would that cost me
Is there a way to buy the shit you guys make? I'd really love to have one of these
