The Morphe Continuous Setting Spray is by far the best! It does not contain alcohol, it’s affordable and the mister is unbeatable by any of the other drugstore setting sprays.
I'll never buy anything Morphe, and no, $17.00 isn't "affordable" for a drugstore setting spray. I like the original Elf setting mist in the black bottle. Unsure if it contains alcohol, but it works great for me, and it's only $6.00. The mister is super fine, and it doesn't feel drying either.
I said it was affordable seeing as many Drugstore brands such as NYX, Revlon, Milani, L’Oreal, Physicians Formula etc have greatly increased in price and where I live there are many products that hit the $20 mark at the drugstore, if not beyond that. I certainly understand if you are not wanting to support a specific brand, and I’m glad you have found the elf setting spray is your go-to for $6, that’s fantastic 😊

I think an interesting topic is when products are used in a way that's different from their intended purpose. For example, the elf luminous camo concealer is the best eye primer I've ever used! LA colors mini eye shadow palette in shades of pink and mauve makes a great blush. Anyone else like to mix it up?
Love mixing it up!! I use blush, bronzer, and highlighter for eyeshadow all the time and have def done eyeshadow for blush a ton. Also have used either cream blush or even cream bronzer for lips before when I was looking for a certain cohesive look and none of my lip products were doing it for me lol
I’m 53 and I can still remember as a little girl watching my Mom dab lipstick on her cheeks for blush! I guess she was ahead of her time! 🥰💄I also use products for multi purposes. Have used loose powder and bronzers as eyeshadows over the years many times.
I have done a full face just with a face palette from elf (I mean eyes and face, of course) and the Juvia's Place Blushed Rose eye palette as well has done double duty. I'm all for it as long as it's not irritating to my eyes!
Revlon lipsticks are one of the few that don’t dry out my lips. I have a huge collection. My favorite shades are Blushed, Smoky Rose, Blushing Mauve and Goldpearl Plum.

Also, I feel so alone in my dislike of the Instant Age Rewind concealer. That stuff ages my undereyes about 10 years.

Very dry skin requires special foundation, that’s for sure. At this point I only consider foundation recommendations from people with very dry skin. It’s interesting to hear about the polling results.
It's funny to discover where my opinion is 180° opposite other people's. Items on the list that totally bombed for me: Essence pure nude highlighter, L'Oreal foundation, Milani Luminoso, Almay Healthy Hue blush, elf bite size eyeshadow, Fit Me loose powder, elf putty primer, blush, and sheer sticks. But it wasn't all bad, there were several items on the list that I loved too! Thanks Jen for another interesting video.
Agreed! The essence highlighter did not look good on me at all, the L’Oréal foundations were too dry, and the wet n wild foundation looked terrible on me!
When it comes to primers, the Maybelline Baby Skin primer is hands down the best I've found for minimizing the look of big pores and taking the shine down on your face. I never see anyone talk about it but omg it's crazy good. If you're a normal to oily gal with big pores in the t zone you should definitely give it a try.
Hi Jen!! Thanks so much for this. I am soooo happy Revlon won for lipstick. I think their formula is top notch - and I am a lipstick 💄 nut! My mom always wore Cherries In the Snow for as long as I can remember and I am 57! They still make it. I went and bought a tube recently and have it on my makeup table in her honor. It is a beautiful blue undertone red and looked nice on her fair skin. Thank you again for putting out great content for all us makeup lovers.

I feel the same way as you do about the Loreal infallible foundation. It looks beautiful when I first put it on, but after an hour or two my skin looks sooo dehydrated. I haven’t even bothered to try the true match nude because of the high alcohol content. I like the OG true match.

Those Revlon lipsticks are so great. I bought one in an emergency when I needed a lip color on the go, and now I have an embarrassing amount of shades.
I love the Milani, Revlon and Maybelline lipsticks. My favorite eyeshadows from the drugstore are the ELF and Profusion palettes. I love the Wet N' Wild Photofocus loose setting powder. I really like the Physician Formula and Revlon blushes. To this day and I have been using the Maybelline Fit Me concealer for years, I still think it is the best concealer at the drugstore but I also like the ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer. The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is still my favorite drugstore foundation. The Loreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black is still my favorite mascara but I like the ELF Lash It Loud and Big Moods mascaras.
Regarding BH Cosmetics, it was a announced a few months ago now that they were going to continue the travel series and release some eye and face quads. I don't know where they are though, a lot of people including me got excited but there has been nothing so far. So who knows. Great video though, lots of my favorites made an appearance, but it was interesting to see what peoples picks were overall. One favorite that did not make was Milani's baked highlighter in Dolce Perla, Milani has really nice products like the bronzers and blushes that were included, but their highlighters are good too. Just passing along!

L’Oréal kicked butt! I love L’Oréal so I’m glad it got a lot of votes. I absolutely love the Lash Paradise! It makes my lashes look amazing! I love the Wet n Wild Incognito concealer. It’s super light coverage so it double as a foundation. It’s beautiful for light coverage, barely there makeup days. I’m shocked that Colourpop wasn’t on there more! Their products are spot on and I love them! Especially their pallets! I love “That’s Taupe”. Such a good pallet. Great video. It’s nice to see what people are liking.
I agree...Pixi makes great stuff! Although I feel like maybe people didn't mention them because they're a little more expensive than drugstore. A lot of people feel like they're more of a mid-range brand even though they're sold at Target. :)
The maybeline powder is awesome bc you can wear it alone and get blurred out skin with coverage. I like the nyx can't stop won't stop concealer bc it is full coverage but also works very good thinned out or manipulate with other products and oils. It's very versatile. Good to use as eyeshadow primer as well.
My favourite videos are on new launches new beauty brands for face body and hair. Better formulations better packaging innovative products. Im a dry skinned gal and all my homework for skin care prep and formulations is done on this channel. Find it very exciting cause I don't repeat purchases. L’Oréal infallible fresh wear is my absolute favorite in the shade linen! Hard Candy primer is comparable to milk hydro grip IMO. When I pan that product, I’m going to pick up the elf primer. Age Rewind from Maybelline is still my favorite so many years later! No. 7 powder is chef’s kiss! 💋
So many products I wish I could try but when some drugstore products are so expensive up here that adding even 5$ or nothing at all I can go to sephora and get something, well no contest I'm afraid. L.A. Girl's eyeshadow is sooo underrated! People are missing out! Their gel liners are amazing! Same goes for Profusion and I think because they are sold at Walmart people tend to poo-poo them! They're missing out for sure!
The No 7 flexible serum foundation with spf is better for me compared to the L'Oreal serum foundation, which settled in my lines. Definitely LA Girl shadow pallets are really nice. Make It Last works so good!
Favorite shades of Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick- blushing nude, gentlemen prefer pink (cool). And pink in the afternoon (warm). I’ve not had luck with L’Oréal foundations. I find they oxidize and I wind up looking like an Oompa Loompa. Thanks for another great video.
I never got the hype with Luminoso. I bought into it and got it along with a couple of other shades... It was easily the most uninteresting. Love Essence's The Blush, though. Would love for them to expand the line, it just sucks they are beginning to discontinue things fast :/

I adore the ColorPop Pretty Fresh setting spray. It feels heavenly going on, with the best mister of all 12 setting sprays I have, drugstore and Urban Decay brands.

Jen, this was great! Especially for someone like me who does not purchase a lot of cosmetics. I love Maybelline lifter gloss Silk, I hardly use my City Lips. I might even purchase a 2nd color, when I see them on sale. Drug store prices have certainly taken a big jump.

I find that if you leave it quite a while before you use the Lash Princess mascara after you've bought it, the less it smudges. I found this by chance as I bought 2 & didn't like it due to the smudging. The 2nd one got left in my drawer for 6 months til I gave it another go & it didn't smudge at all. I've done this ever since & no smudging. May not work for everyone, but worth a go! Emma x

This is such a wonderful idea. I watch all your videos because you are the best at dupes and swatches (you present them beautifully). It is nice to see what other people use too, because so many YTubers show what looks good on them, many are very self-centered, but you are not like that. Your content is the most useful and your presentation is always a delight. Thank you!
I think over 45 favorites are different than other ages. A lot of these were fine for me 4 years ago, but at 49 my skin has very specific needs. Before 45, texture wasn't an issue. I could wear anything. Over 45, some products emphasize texture, dryness, crepe-y undereyes, fine lines or are irritating. While I was watching this, I was mentally going through the list and I've tried most of these along the way, but not all are still in my collection. Many are though, including the Maybelline concealer, flower pot blushes, colourpop eyeshadow, Revlon highlighter and lipsticks, Maybelline Lifter gloss and nyx butter gloss! There are a few on this list I haven't tried and will be on the lookout for!
I hear you im gonna be 47 this October and I love watching her channel I've learned alot because I myself have dry skin and sometimes I have texture issues.
You want texture? I've got texture like Astroturf where my moody rosacea patches lie (lay?) in waiting. Even when there's no redness, there's that texture! I'm 62, and it's been there for about 15 years. Can't use scrubs, masks or toners, they just make it worse. And don't get me started on retinols or other "wonder drugs"...

The only high end makeup product that’s worth the splurge to me is the Kosas concealer. It’s the best I’ve ever tried and I’ve tried a lot!

I haven't tried it in many years, but I remember it being similar to the Smashbox Photo Finish primer. I'll have to test it out again!

I'm with you on that Loreal Foundation. I'm not top dry. To use it, I mix it with Glow Focus from Milani. After I use it up, I won't be repurchasing.

One favorite that did not make was Milani's baked highlighter in Dolce Perla, Milani has really nice products like the bronzers and blushes that were included, but their highlighters are good too. My favourite highlight which beats out others I like including Flower, essence, Becca etc is the pixi formula that's in the RachLoves palette!

L’Oréal kicked butt! I love L’Oréal so I’m glad it got a lot of votes. I absolutely love the Lash Paradise! It makes my lashes look amazing! I love the Wet n Wild Incognito concealer. It’s super light coverage so it double as a foundation. It’s beautiful for light coverage, barely there makeup days. I’m shocked that Colourpop wasn’t on there more! Their products are spot on and I love them! Especially their pallets! I love “That’s Taupe”. Such a good pallet. Great video. It’s nice to see what people are liking.

I agree...Pixi makes great stuff! Although I feel like maybe people didn't mention them because they're a little more expensive than drugstore. A lot of people feel like they're more of a mid-range brand even though they're sold at Target. :)
The maybeline powder is awesome bc you can wear it alone and get blurred out skin with coverage. I like the nyx can't stop won't stop concealer bc it is full coverage but also works very good thinned out or manipulate with other products and oils. It's very versatile. Good to use as eyeshadow primer as well.

Im a dry skinned gal and all my homework for skin care prep and formulations is done on this channel. Find it very exciting cause I don't repeat purchases. L’Oréal infallible fresh wear is my absolute favorite in the shade linen! Hard Candy primer is comparable to milk hydro grip IMO. When I pan that product, I’m going to pick up the elf primer. Age Rewind from Maybelline is still my favorite so many years later! No. 7 powder is chef’s kiss! 💋
So many products I wish I could try but when some drugstore products are so expensive up here that adding even 5$ or nothing at all I can go to sephora and get something, well no contest I'm afraid. L.A. Girl's eyeshadow is sooo underrated! People are missing out! Their gel liners are amazing! Same goes for Profusion and I think because they are sold at Walmart people tend to poo-poo them! They're missing out for sure!
The No 7 flexible serum foundation with spf is better for me compared to the L'Oreal serum foundation, which settled in my lines. Definitely LA Girl shadow pallets are really nice. Make It Last works so good!
Favorite shades of Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick- blushing nude, gentlemen prefer pink (cool). And pink in the afternoon (warm). I’ve not had luck with L’Oréal foundations. I find they oxidize and I wind up looking like an Oompa Loompa.

I never got the hype with Luminoso. I bought into it and got it along with a couple of other shades... It was easily the most uninteresting. Love Essence's The Blush, though. Would love for them to expand the line, it just sucks they are beginning to discontinue things fast :/

I adore the ColorPop Pretty Fresh setting spray. It feels heavenly going on, with the best mister of all 12 setting sprays I have, drugstore and Urban Decay brands.

I love Maybelline lifter gloss Silk, I hardly use my City Lips. I might even purchase a 2nd color, when I see them on sale. Drug store prices have certainly taken a big jump.

I find that if you leave it quite a while before you use the Lash Princess mascara after you've bought it, the less it smudges. I found this by chance as I bought 2 & didn't like it due to the smudging. The 2nd one got left in my drawer for 6 months til I gave it another go & it didn't smudge at all. I've done this ever since & no smudging. May not work for everyone, but worth a go! Emma x

I think over 45 favorites are different than other ages. A lot of these were fine for me
4 years ago, but at 49 my skin has very specific needs. Before 45, texture wasn't an issue. I could wear anything. Over 45, some products emphasize texture, dryness, crepe-y undereyes, fine lines or are irritating. While I was watching this, I was mentally going through the list and I've tried most of these along the way, but not all are still in my collection. Many are though, including the Maybelline concealer, flower pot blushes, colourpop eyeshadow, Revlon highlighter and lipsticks, Maybelline Lifter gloss and nyx butter gloss!
There are a few on this list I haven't tried and will be on the lookout for!
I hear you im gonna be 47 this October and I love watching her channel I've learned alot because I myself have dry skin and sometimes I have texture issues.
At 55 it's worse yet for texture! I have pretty good skin and have never dealt with these issues.

You want texture? I've got texture like Astroturf where my moody rosacea patches lie (lay?) in waiting. Even when there's no redness, there's that texture! I'm 62, and it's been there for about 15 years. Can't use scrubs, masks or toners, they just make it worse. And don't get me started on retinols or other "wonder drugs"...
