Hahaha absolutely, has a rocky relationship with Bose...
Lol
@@TheRacingPilot It doesn't matter, he can buy Bose...
This comment wins the internet
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He is a self made man. Hate him or love him this is admirable. His achievements are from hard work.
Absolutely, he's an incredible success!
Says every Lance Stroll ever 😢
What a legend.
But - as always - a lot of luck as well
@@freakysnuke2571luck is also a product of just trying often enough.
Bet Toto had a lot of days where he thought that everything is going to shit.
Toto is nothing short of legend. A mogul of sporting excellence.
100%. He's made such a massive impact on the sport
ain't that the word max got in trouble for?
😂😂
Lol, in no way is he this
Fact.
Toto is a legend, and he does not get the credit for the 7 WDC's he achieved with Hamilton. He's ultra-disciplined. He does not need to be on the paddock, but he's driven to win. I love this guy. Shows where hard work will get you.
He is such an inspiration 🙌🙌
6* Toto got 7 constructors for Mercedes
@@youngrody2386 he got 6 drivers with lewis, 1 with nico and 8 constructors
He is genuinely the greatest team principal. People say that he is against Bottas but they don't know this but Toto is actually Valteri team manager and responsible for getting him in Williams in 2013 because he was share holder in Williams. You also maybe for respect didn't share this but Toto is actually divorced and has two boys from first marriage but due to toxic relationship he couldn't grew with them that's why he was considering retiring in 2020 to spend more time with growing jack Wolff. And you didn't even mention his first entrance in F1 in 2009 I believe with Williams.
Well firstly I did mention him joining F1 with Williams 😂😂 and secondly I'm amazed I haven't seen anything about a first marriage in my research! 👍
Greatest team principal - that’s a bit of a stretch
After winning 8 titles in 9 years? Who beats that? 😂
@@TheRacingPilot me on the new f1 manager
Greatest no chance.
I would put him near the worst.
You can literally make a movie out of him. Self made hard working man. Just people don't understand and make fun. He is like a boss I would like to work under for sure.
Absolutely, such a great success story!
Basically, he's wicked smart and motivated, and took some risks that paid off. That's the dream, right there. Lol
Absolutely, he's the full package 🙌
Sounds like lewis
Literally from zero to hero, absolute brilliance. If you go back to the last 8 years Mercedes didn't have the best car every year let's say like in 2017 or 2018, but they had the most stable team structure like perfect strategies and pitstop which gave them the titles.
Absolutely, his leadership has led to so much success 🙌
In 2017 & 2018 Mercedes won the title due to very poor strategy from Ferrari. The teamprincipal at Ferrari was send away because he made very poor strategy decisions.

Really interesting to see a slightly different perspective on F1. Would love to see more videos about the backgrounds of team principals, especially Christian and Guenther have quite interesting careers.
Exactly what's coming! Starting a series called 'The Rich List' covering exactly that!

Looking forward to watching them. Do be careful though if you are not a trained journalist, as many of these people are based in the UK where defamation laws are unpredictable and strict. The ultra rich can sometimes be offended by surprising things or a throwaway remark. Make sure you have good sources, be prepared to back down and grovel quickly, and consider taking a short law course specifically on defamation or law for journalists. Sadly this may tone down what you can say. But remember these people are rich and obsessive, and sometimes have crazy wives. Ooop, no the don't! They have balanced, wise and generally all round wonderful human beings as their partners, just like them! Nice children. And charming pets!!
Great Explained! Very strong!!! Thank you!
well done! and love the senna poster on the background!!

Thanks so much mate! Really appreciate it 🙌
That was a very good to watch and listen to. Toto is a driven force with principles, and it works, the people around him must respect him as a result of this. I do not think many people in business behave like that, they are to abrupt and short term thinkers. Well done Toto.
Absolutely, he's an expert on people management and that's why they are so successful! 🙌
Thank you so much for this video. I always thought his character was fascinating to say the least.
Thanks for watching! He's an interesting guy!
thank you for that amazing video about Toto Wolff. Greatings from AUSTRIA =)

He took lot of risk and it paid of. Bravo 😄
That's how you get successful!
i cant wait for a book to be written about him, not as a team principle. But a story of rags to riches
Absolutely, would be awesome 🙌
Amazing video as always bro. I liked your setting and background (nice Senna poster), as long as your face isn't in the channel's icon, I personally have no issue with the format.
Awesome mate thanks! And no the logo and name will absolutely stay the same 🙌

Double it since this video
The best teachers and the best managers both are frequently those that actually want to do but for whatever reason, be it something preventing them or a strategic decision, can actually do the doing.
Absolutely, they respond well to adversity 🙌
Toto is a great role model. Does anyone know what his engineering experience is? The interesting thing it seems is that aside from his racing enthusiasm he doesn't have an engineering background, yet he is still able to command authority and lead the team so well.
He has absolutely zero engineering background hahahah. I'm sure he knows a lot from being in the job but Toto is brilliant because of his people management
Nothing more than a finance man , he has no engineering skills. Read Ross Brawns book if you want to know the real Toto. 🙂
Toto is a legend!
Absolutely 🙌
I went to school with Toto, he went to "Lycee Francais de Vienne" which was NOT state school, instead an expensive private school. Don't know if he finished this school, would have to ask my brother who went to the same class as him. He is still acquainted with some guys from school, invited a Arab friend of mine to the Abu Dabi Grand Prix were he sat next to Toto during the race. Toto is a cool guy, very nice and very smart and ambitious!
He absolutely is 🙌
Great job 👏
Thanks mate 🙌
Now he's worth a billion
He certainly is 🙌
Amazing video, hopefully zak brown is next. definitely an instant sub from me.
Thanks so much! This video is the start of a series 👍
We don't celebrate people who made it enough. Once they are rich they are branded "greedy" or "corrupt" etc without any consideration of what they did to get there. That is one hell of a story. A bit like F1 team's everyone wants the underdog to make it to the top but once they have been there a while the people just want to pull them back down.
Absolutely, it's not right 🙌
Toto & Horner will be in F1 history as the best team principals ever. Both have started from scratch and lead the team to win
Well I'd say Ron Dennis is by far the greatest ever. The level of competition he maintained at mclaren for so long has never been rivalled
how did Christian start from scratch? he was quite wealthy and had ancestral business in car industry
May I ask what your setup for Audio recording is? (Mic, Acoustic panels around the room etc.) The quality is outstanding.
Thanks a lot! I use a rode procaster with a fethead and no acoustic panels at all, just a foam cover over the microphone 👍
@@TheRacingPilot Thanks for the quick reply. I'll definitely have to look into that some time.
HP and National Semiconductor were upstarts originally, but certainly not during the time Wolf was in San Francisco. They were established players. Also, Toto was NEVER the Team Principal at Williams. That was Frank's job until the day the team was sold. Wolf was Executive Director. That's a rather important thing to get wrong...
He didn't have the title of team principal but that's essentially the role he played 👍
Good video
Thanks 🙌
As of writing this comment, Forbes has announced that Toto is actually now a Billionaire! No doubt very well deserved 👌
I just saw! Gotta update this video! 😂
Great documentary and delivery of the content. Only thing I'm unsure about is that some sources cite his net wealth as 1.2 billion Swiss francs, and converted to USD that would make 1.24 billion USD. Not sure which one is correct, but in any case, the man is rich enough ;).
Thanks so much! In regards to the figure, I don't find any way he could be worth that much as his Mercedes ownership is approximately $300 million and he doesn't hold any other assets that are as large as that one 👍
Hesssss back baby !!
It's about time 🙌
This is madness.
🙌🙌
He's my hero. I want to meet him, he's one of the best team principal of f1.
Imagine having dinner with him!
You like cheating insider traders? He would probably try and steal your wallet
Very good video. Deserves more views and 👍
Thanks Sami! Appreciate it 🙌
That is his actual net worth, if he in any points want to sell his ownership in mercedes he would be a billionaire.
Would be interesting to see!
Some ppl were in the right place at the right time when the central banks started printing money. Good for him for having his bucket in the river. But it's less about real value than anyone thinks. Our financial system is criminal.
He has quite a rich history and yea love the new format!
Thanks so much! More to come 👍

Well done to him, losing his father at a young age can’t have been easy, but unlike so many in the modern world he got on and worked hard, all credits to him, a diverse work history but his dedication has paid off, not sure about the Redbull advert half way through 😂😂so much envy and criticism these days if someone dose well and earns a good lifestyle, but he gives employment to thousands.
He made it the way they all make it. Being part of a club, keeping it in the "family", doing as he is told and not playing by the "rules".
Those might have been the ways under Bernie but it's different now 👍
He's so calculated and God like it almost doesn't seem like he's a real person. If he isn't already the best principal ever he will be soon, especially if GR wins a championship.
For sure, he's done incredible things 🙌
I just finished reading Jackie Stewart's bio. The two men are very similar.
And your face is an effective addition. -- BAK --
They certainly are, what do you mean by my face being an effective addition?
A r lucky call from Mr. Williams, get a Team Principal job with zero experience, minor success at Williams and gets the dream job role at Mercedes. Gets to buy in and then wins like he and they did? Just incredible! 👏
It really is, I guess they saw his mentality more than anything!
Interesting background! How did he get all that money to invest in the big companies though?
When he sold off his first startup that acted as an agent to the Austrian steel company 👍
Sein Job ist nicht everyones Darling zu sein. Mir gefällt seine Authentizität und der Wille zu gewinnen, jede Faser von ihm ist dieses Team. Eine echte Kämpfernatur. Lauda fehlt.
Absolutely, he's a special guy 🙌
This is why im a big fans of Mercedas Petronas AMG F1 team
Same here, such a well run team!
To be fair he did not make the team championship winning - Brawn and the engine team did that. He kept them at the top til 2021, which is a great achievement. But to be fair he profited a lot of the advantage they had from the beginning und the pretty stable regulations (no banning blown diffusor, flexi wings, etc)
Sure but winning is one thing, but to remain the best for so long is even more impressive in my eyes
Do you know if there is a book about his early fortune? (from his candle sail through Williams Shareholder)
I'm not too sure to be honest, possibly?
Didn't realise he owned part of team, explains why he gets so animated!
Hahaha absolutely, he's seriously invested!

In my opinion his success comes from his experience in business, investing and motorsport. In short, how money works and how motorsport works.
Absolutely, his strengths come from business and people management 🙌
I mean 'relatively poor' surely means he shouldn't have been able to afford private school? Maybe different in Austria but here in England only the top 5 percent or so go to it, most go to state or state grammar schools if they can get in?
Yeh i think in Austria at the time it was a much different system. And I guess he grew up relatively poor after his father passed away 👍
@@TheRacingPilot you shouldn't "think" and "guess" when you make a video like this, you must be SURE of what you're saying, other way you are just an amateur giving opinion and not explaining fact
