Injured my neck in a car accident decades ago. When I use my computer, I have the monitor on a box so the middle of the screen is at my eye level. Definitely helps my posture and my neck.
Found it harder to keep my head/neck upright when using my phone, tablet or laptop. Eventually the neck pain starts getting unbearable. A few months ago i bought a cervical collar - remembered how it helped way back when. I love it! It keeps my neck aligned and not leaning forward. Wish I thought of it sooner.
The neck tuck exercise Bob & Brad featured a few years ago really helps too. Especially when my neck pain starts intensifying.
Hopefully Bob and Brad can tell me what all the crackling noises I hear when doing the neck tuck. Sounds like breaking a handful of potato chips. I do neck tucks until the crackling is gone. Neck feels a lot better.
Im curious what causes the crackling and if I should be concerned. A few years ago a PT told me "definitely don't do that!' but didn't say why. (I do have some osteoporosis and osteopena).
