      Except he ripped off hundred of people of their deposits. Took hundreds of deposits & promise to build their trailers & after a few years filed bank rupt. Now hundreds of people who put down over $10,000 lost their deposit & never got the trailer they were promised. Company is closed now. He scammed hundreds of people.

    I have one of the last lilsnoozy campers. Unfortunately they went under before they could become profitable! 😢 I am completely satisfied with mine...well built, well designed. Hope someone comes along and gets them back on the road. I use mine as a stationary mancave and heat it with an outside furnace which also heats the house. It is truly 4 season and no humidity problem in winter at all. Would not trade it for anything.

  • @phroadrick
    @phroadrick Před 8 lety +71

    For all of you that think it's too expensive please consider what you are getting for the money. This is a well thought out design built by a private company, not one of the monoliths that control everything else. Have you priced a similar sized Rpod? I think it's absolutely fantastic and will be making the short trip to St. Matthews, SC to check one out soon.
    Love the idea of no propane. Why would I want gas routed into my living quarters? And the idea of a home window a/c unit is just brilliant. Roof mounted units in most campers are WAY too loud for comfort. Having a compressor refrigerator is priceless as you don't have to cool it down a day ahead of time like most camper units. And just how do you do that anyway if your camper is stored at a place with no electricity? Good Lord, the toilet alone is almost worth the price of the unit!
    Thanks for such an innovative design!

    • @harryjansen6990
      @harryjansen6990 Před 6 lety +3

      Sorry, Rpod's a better camper overall. Having to rely on a noisy (relatively) generator is a definite deal breaker. No propane? He also never mentioned shore power of any kind or a battery? I have to carry gasoline now to run my generator, which most campgrounds have restrictions on running. Having to start up that thing would be a pain after a time, along with the frequent fill up's for the generator.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the 30 G’s or whatever this baby cost. Not complaining about the price, this guy developed and perfected the perfect unit to suit my needs, but unless some unseen fortune comes my way, I’ll be admiring these from a distance. A very well designed unit, and will likely last for generations, like a Boler trailer. But no propane fridge and heat is a big problem. Most of our provincial camp sites have set generator times, and they max out at 4 hours per day. Too bad, you guys are missing out on the bulk of the market share. Yes the price is really high but I bet this is a quality product. Best of luck to the company.

    Knowing nothing...at 6"2", 255 .lbs... this one covers what I want...the only addition I would ask about is having a solar hook-up w/batteries. A folding, lightweight set of solar panels that you set out when in camp would be great - more handy than a second small gas engine generator. My wariness is that I wander OK, TXS, NM. Kansas ---winds turn over RVs, trailers, campers out here.

    I like this camper. I may get one of these if I get better employment. It looks to come in handy for when IM in WV as the parking infront of the cabin can be tight and a small camper would go good to sleep in when the cabin gets crowded. And it can get cold inside during the fall season.

    I love everything about this camper. It would be perfect for what i need. Everything you need and nothing you dont.
    A couple things i would option for are. Maybe a mini split HVAC, 2 deep cycle batteries with 500 watts of charging power. Definitely the picture window on the right and left side. Upgraded ceiling vent fan with remote and rain sensor. HD TV antenna on the roof ,nondirectional.
    Instead of the jacknife couch.
    A double recliner love seats.
    I will do my own TV and audio system. Or TVs. ???
    Maybe even a very large star gazzing picture curved window over the bed for shure with screen and a black out shade.

      @69warthog1 Před 7 lety +1

      Hi All,
      These are built in South Carolina, and are less then 20 feet long, they could put one in a 20 foot shipping container, probably about a hundred miles by truck to the port, and then its loaded on a ship.
      The hard part is actually where it gets to Australia, so you really need to go to your local trucking company, find out where a container would land close to you, and how it would get from the port to you.
      Most of Australia's population lives within 100 miles of a port, so it is definitely possible. Become a dealer, and use your knowledge to import more to sell to other people.
      The actual cost of the shipping leg will be on the order of a couple thousand dollars, at a guess, it would cost more to ship it overland to the west coast of the US, so, about 10% increase in cost.
      Thanks, take care.

    Well, I live forever away in Canada, but you have really put excellent thought into this. I am impressed. Everything I need without paying for the things I do not. The idea of a choice between a flat screen or a panoramic window impresses me. I would be interested as it can be parked in the city in a single garage. I could also leave it long term at a leased camping site in the boreal forest mountains on a lake. This camper seems ideal for my very limited needs. The way the waste water works is brilliant. Congratulations on your fine design.

    have been looking a "tiny" trailers for quite a bit and most of them are $16-17K or so. The Forest River R-Pod 179 is almost $18K here in CA, so I am not sure that the price is too out of line if the Snoozy trailer does last. I know the slide on my neighbor's R-Pod 179 is apparently failing after 1 year, so quality is lacking in the cheaper lines.
    AC units for trailers need a "hard-start capacitor" and rubber vibration supports so need to ask about that AC. Otherwise, I like the design. We "wild" camp a lot so the lack of a holding tank is something to think about. I love cassette toilets, but be aware how heavy a full one is; I would need to use a cart to pull it to the restroom.
    Cheers,
    Constance

    Can I tow it with a BMW X3 & what is the price?

  • @gavinjames695
    @gavinjames695 Před 5 lety

    A+ for presentation and ideas, but a big fat F for pricing. Base price in January is $23,650.00. With the additional cost of options like the GENERATOR, fiberglass tongue cover, THE TOILET, microwave, bathroom fan, additional small window, SPARE TIRE and SPARE TIRE RACK, REAR STEP, mattress upgrade, reading light, etc...that brings the cost up to $28, 197.00 before sales tax. People can get something just as well built, and probably more functional, for less than that. Going with a mass manufacturer is probably a better/cheaper option when looking at mini campers.

    • @WakeUpAmerican000s
      @WakeUpAmerican000s Před 5 lety

      vicarofrevelwood - I agree. You can tell this builder lives in the south because he's done a great job with the air conditioner, but makes no provisions for heating the unit (with propane). Carrying gasoline for a generator is more dangerous than propane. I suspect it's because propane is heavier than air, and could accumulate in a tight fibreglass shell. It would require a sniffer etc. like the boating industry does.
