- I didnt think i would love the rear seats so much, but i love that they can lift up and down etc, i always throw straps and tools in the truck under the seats and fishing for them suck. Im not a fan of leather interiors honestly, especially in CA leather sucks, plus people want crazy money for them, plus manual seats only come in cloth i believe?? So this is a win win win for me. I honestly cant wait to do the dash swap and other panels to gray panels.

Nick, did you ever post part 3? I'm wanting to do this on my 01 f250 also but cannot find out how to wire the door harnesses together, for window switches and locks etc. Hoping I can just take the pigtails off my 08 and splice them to my 01 harness and then plug it all in, if i could find which wires connect to work properly. Thanks for all your help buddy I've been using your videos for a while!

You could do similar to what I did. I made a tray that bolts to the brackets for the drivers side seat (where the cargo try you don't have would go) that holds a power inverter then I took one of those 12 outlet strips from harbor freight and some thin aluminum scraps and mounted it under the rear window. Just flip on the inverter and the kids can charge their phones, tablets, etc... plus you can charge batteries for cordless tools when off-site (scrap yard, etc...) only thing is for the power strip to fit and the power rear window slider to play well together I had to get seat spacers made for installing subwoofers behind the seat to move the seats out (I modified the ones I bought made to 2 inch spacing I think) by 1 to 1.25 inch.

If you are a welder, you could probably make a modest angle cut in the shifter, flip the top part 180 degrees or so and weld it back together. Voila! You have the new angled shifter. Or you could just bend it.😆

Shifter shafts are made of junk material, usually. Best to start from scratch
