    HELLY HANSEN - ALIVE SINCE 1877
    From our home in Norway, Helly Hansen has been making professional grade gear to help people stay and feel alive for more than 140 years. It all started in 1877 when sea captain Helly Juell Hansen found a better way to stay protected from the harsh Norwegian elements. Soon thereafter, Captain Hansen and his wife Margrethe launched a business producing waterproof oilskin jackets, trousers, sou’westers and tarpaulins made from coarse linen soaked in linseed oil - and the legend was born!
    Helly Hansen gear is worn and trusted by professionals on oceans, mountains and worksites. As the #1 apparel brand for Ski Professionals, you’ll find HH at more than 200 ski resort and guiding operations around the world, and worn by more than 55,000 ski professionals. Our sailing gear is worn by world-class sailors across all five oceans, and we’re proud to partner with and participate in some of the sport’s most iconic regattas and sailing associations. As a leading Scandinavian workwear brand, you’ll see us at work-sites where performance, protection and safety matter most. We continue to support Captain Hansen’s legacy through a long list of first-to-market innovations developed through insights from those working and recreating in the world’s harshest environments.

    Really happy with the jacket so far, had a rainy day yesterday and wore it coaching. I'm realizing how bad my actual coaching jacket is 😅

    Thank you for the review. It was helpful and tipped me over the edge to buy one. Several people have said it looks good. I think it is because it is longer than most of the modern jackets, which seem extra short to me.

      Hey! No problem glad you found it helpful. I’ve just got back from soccer and it just rained all morning and it was a god send.
      Yea the extra length makes it look so much better. Being 6”3 the shorter jackets just don’t look right on me. I swear 90’s all jackets were longer.

    Great review! Would you say that the jacket would work in warmer climates as well, say somewhere in between 0-20C? Also, do you think it can be used on a bike? Im mainly concerned with the sitting position and the ability to pedal without being blocked by the jacket and stressing the material. Thank you!

      Hey thanks for the comment hope it was helpful. Yea the jacket can be used three ways, as a shell, just the inside or all the layers together. It should be ok on a bike I’ve mainly only used it on Lime electric bikes and it’s been fine.

    Been looking for a good review on this jacket. If it works for you on the pitch, it’ll work for me as a spectator parent! The capelli gave it away even before you said anything. 🍻

    Great video, thanks. 3+ months in, how warm is this jacket with winter here? How waterproof/ windproof is it? What can it withstand? Assume jumper being worn sorta thing! Cheers.

      I’ll coach between 2-3 hours in the evening and we’ve had all kinds of weather here in Seattle as you can imagine. I’m really happy with it I’ll often wear layers underneath and I’ve had no issues. We had torrential down poor before Christmas and the inside of the pockets got a little wet. Temp and waterproof levels have been perfect for in and around freezing and seattle rain. I can imagine if you live in a brutal climate you would need a more padded jacket though. It also heats up really quick if you walking etc. also the hood is amazing…you can’t hear anything but it’s warm.

      @@ShaunResolute Seattle would not be far off the weather being dished out over here in Ireland. That was enough for me to pull the trigger on a L (183,93kg)! Thanks again!

    I have 1.80 meters and 80kg what size do you think is good to me ? M or L ?

    • @ShaunResolute
      @ShaunResolute  Před 7 měsíci

      The jackets more fitted than over sized so depends on your personal preference. I would be tempted to start with the Large if I was you especially if your wearing stuff underneath that’s a little bulkier.

      I think the large would be fitted but XL would be a little over sized for you. I’m 6”3 and 230lb and XL fits perfect.
