It's actually pretty wild how uncomfortable people seem to get with the prospect of someone just standing around being nice. Freaks the public out to the point that they feel the need to complain so they can get back to the crushing apathy and indifference that makes up the core of their lives.
I don't think anyone actually does complain they just use that as an excuse to get rid of him. I mean, who is going to complain about a smartly dressed chap being thoroughly agreeable? Which demographic would find that anything less than ideal?
