As a former Starbucks barista, I can assure you that that ending gag is 100% true. I can recall several instances where I overheard customers talking about getting their coffee (or caffeine) for the day, only to order a Frappuccino that contained zero coffee.
EDIT: Because this is confusing people, I want to clarify- some Frappuccinos *do* have coffee, and some of them do not. Starbucks splits how it categorizes them into “blended coffee” and “blended creme”- if your Frappuccino of choice is categorized as blended creme, it doesn’t have any coffee.
But Frappuccinos are Delicious.
What do they sell in the little fridges at convenience stores? I originally guessed cold brew but apparently that's super salty. Then I thought I heard one barista say it's a Frappuccino but now you're saying that's not even coffee. What dang drink am I looking for?

Also, based on the way I’ve seen customers treat Starbucks barista, I wouldn’t have said anything either. Customers will literally tell baristas they’re wrong about what a drink contains as if the barista isn’t the one who makes it. And frappes have so many carbs, the customers will still get their energy kick

It’s funny, the malic acid in apple juice can actually perk you up.
It doesn’t give you energy or keep you up, but it’ll give you a really quick jolt to shake off some of the grogginess.
I actually work with malic acid a lot as a bartender and it’s one of my favorite things to use to tart up a cocktail. Has a dry astringency and slight green apple notes to it.
