Now that I’m 23, it’s hard figuring life out sometimes and I stress myself out. As I continue to grow up into the early teens, I’ve been seeing a lot of people I graduated high school with already have degrees, dream jobs, starting families etc, I would always have a feeling as if I’m not making progress in life. I still feel that way sometimes, but something that I just tell myself is that everyone figures out their life at their own pace. Remember that each of our journeys are different, so never compare yourself to other people. We will all figure it out eventually! Explore and enjoy the moments during this stage of life, you will get to where you need to be!

Perry the Platypus!
You'll find your passion. I've been lost searching for what has felt like ages, coming to closed doors and missed opportunities. But so long you don't quit looking, you're bound to find something. Maybe try thinking about what truly makes you happy in life, is it money or your own happiness? I pursue music in hopes of being happy and living a fulfilled life, whether I have money or not because I am passionate about it. It's so true though
I watched this back when it came out, and I am 18 currently, and this video hit so hard. Last semester, I went to university for physics and math and I was dead the entire way through right from the beginning. Like those two were my favourite subjects, and I was failing. It literally destroyed me. I've never had such a hard time, and everyone around me seemed like they were doing great. Like what was wrong with me? I realized late into the semester that it was okay to just calm down, and work on yourself. I wasnt failing because I was stupid -it was the 'boss' in my head that'd berate me constantly. By the end of the sem, my life got improved when I just let myself be free. Giving myself some love was the only reason I passed.
Growing up means you're your own boss, but when that boss hates the shit out of you, you'd remember how nice it was when someone else who cared about you was in control. But I do want my own life, and I guess understanding how to love yourself is apart of adulthood.
Becoming and adult was the best thing that had happen to me. I am now 28 and i would never even dream of comming back to school. The only thing i can agree is being tired part. I work out and run regularly and yet i still feel tired.
The food part is easily fixable. The most healthy dishes are the most basic ones and it never takes too much time (like idk, potatoes eggs and salad or rice and chicken)
The only problem with life is that it sometimes becomes so comfortable that you might lose the will to even do stuff.

Turned 21 yesterday and this just popped up in my recommended, I’m relating to all of this a scary amount
Puberty Platypus's last segment was so realistic. Everyone expects that after high school one's vision for life would clear up no matter how little it does but it really hits you hard when you don't really feel any different than you did back then.
For me media addiction also compounds these issues since I don't really get anything done despite having no obligations (maybe that'spart of the problem)
I spoke a former teacher a while back. She's 42 and she still isn't sure if she wants to be a teacher for the rest of her life. It both was and wasn't reassuring that no one ever really knows what they're passionate about
ñ
Im 27 and still so loss on what I want to do, its awful
Yeah.
I remember being in my mid-20s and having no idea, being overwhelmed and afraid of life. But at the same time, I had the most fun ever between 25 and 32. Now that I'm in my mid-30s, I'm more focused on my career, having a nice home and my relationship. On the weekends I hardly go out to have fun, it's more like, "I need to fix my yard, it needs to be ready for summer parties!".
But yea... all in all I see life more relaxed. There are still parts that I'm confused or clueless about, but I realized that we all just have no idea about certain areas of life, so just ask around. Someone will know the answer to your problem, just as you have some advice for others.
I feel a lot of this video applies more to late 20s and early 30s than early 20s for most people. lol. This dude must have been ahead of the curve, left the nest and finished education early.

Honestly, I joined the military right out of high school. I've been in for 7 years now. I will say that it has provided me with tons of friends and it keeps you active (depending on your job). From when I joined, I get paid a lot more than most of my friends from before the military. Waking up has never been an issue and I always get restful sleep. It took me a bit to figure it out, but if you struggle with social anxiety, burnout, depression, mood swings, and everything in between, there is one solution. GYM! You wont realize it at first but after going at it for the first 2-3 weeks, getting in work consistently, (6 days a week for me), all those problems go away. Your not tired all the time, you feel confident, plus look good feel good. I can not name how many benefits you get from just really pushing yourself in the gym, or just preforming intense physical activity frequently. Plus you also start to meet people at the gym which makes it all even better. Do your self a favor and get in shape. It might hurt while your in there but the pain is momentary. You also start to love it. It only sucks at first. Sorry for rambling. Best of luck to you all!

I just make a simple stew that takes like 15-20 minutes total to prepare with either tofu or chicken for lunch and dinner, every once in a while I mix things up, but that's my standard. For breakfast, it's usually eggs in some form, or some kind of toast.
I'd say for a college student, not very bad.
no, ‘puberty videos’ for girls are more like:
“hey guys, you’re gonna want to cry all the time and that’s perfectly natural!” and then they give you a list of everything you’re gonna want to cry over
no they'll tell you it's natural, but then you go into society and men ask you why you're so sensitive all the time or make fun about you being emotional. so hm. school tells me something but society tells me something else.
Also, all of the blood.

Reality slips far away
Fiction comes alive as we start to play
Hope is no more behind a closed door
As we drift away from where we were before
Hope and hopelessness become one
It's all meaningless we've already begun
Yup, we are all one in the same
Never opposites when we play the same game

I have to say the freedom you get as an adult makes living so much more fun than when i was a teen
Tip about the foods. Try buy in bulk and buy with variety. So that everytime you look into the fridge there wont be nothing and if your too lazy to make foods just remember those things can brighten your day up a lot rather than the junk foods

Watching this during my second college semester. This is the realest.
I’m 22 and I watched this video while doing laundry and doing the dishes
Having your own boss in your head and always feeling like you should be working when doing anything but work is extremely relatable.
We just don't know when to pause.

Hi pearl cool to see you in this comment section (I watch your hermit craft and last life series)
I really appreciate hearing "it's ok to work on yourself". I've been going to a really pushy high school, and I have really struggled to keep a healthy work balance. I'm either a workaholic, or a huge procrastinator and you can imagine the difficulty of that duality. But then I remind myself thats ok. To any of you starting high school right now, know this: It's to hang out with your friends and do your own thing, but also be responsible abd keep track of key dates. I may not have it perfectly balanced myself but I'm trying, and in the end thats all we can do.

same im in highschool, and whenever i work i work really seriously but the hard thing is motivating myself to do the work and not procrastinate
He SAID IT THE SAME TIME I READ THE COMMENT REEEE
What I’ve done to get past all that is sleep as soon as you get home after work no phone no nothing. Yes it’s going to be hard but hey life is hard. No food stops too just go straight home and sleep.

As a content creator what he said about having a boss in the back of the head and being anxious all the time its true
I was that weird kid that NEVER looked forward to growing up.
I'm moving out soon for uni, and when James said, "it is, genuinly upsetting, that I have to figure out, what i have to eat 3 times a day," I already feel that planning out what I'm going to make every week when I move loll.
Do it - shopping and cooking with a weekly Plan reduces food waste and prevents you from cooking spaghetti with tomato sauce on in an endless loop lol.
I think that it's just going to make it worse by you feeling the need to do that one extra thing. But fortunately, that's only the case if you're a procrastinator :|
Give it a few months. You'll learn to hate it, or the clean up.
I have a meal plan thing at my university, but when that place closes and I realize I haven't had dinner yet, I just straight up die

I watched this when I was 16 not understanding any of this. Now I'm a struggling college student who's been having to deal with a lot & I completely relate to this! I keep it on my watch later to remind myself every once & a while to keep going & to listen to my gut.
Kids, don’t get too excited about growing up. Enjoy your kid years. I’m 25(like James) and just be happy you don’t pay bills and rent. But you get to eat what you want
as a fellow 25 year old, i can confirm this is all 100% accurate. good luck kids.

"Your going to be perpetually tired, getting 8 hours of sleep won't help"
Bold of you to assume I'm not already always tired
As a dude who just entered his early 20’s, I relate hard. It’s weird to see everyone else have their lives together and here I am banging my head against a wall trying to figure out which of the 3 bajillion engineering branches to follow at the same time I’m trying to figure out what lunch meat is the most affordable
Don’t worry, no one has their life tidily together, it just seems like it when you look from the outside, especially because people tend to hide the bad and we tend to focus on the good things on others while focusing on the bad things on our side, which we can’t hide from ourselves (grass is always greener on the other side). But hey, on the plus side we are all lost together, so at least we are never alone :D
Also, im an engineer , so good luck picking one of the branches, but don’t worry, choices dont stop there, after you pick one/graduate you’ll again be indecisive about in which are of that branch to work at, especially because of finding a balance between what you like and what actually has job openings. Sounds bad, but it can be a lot of fun if you have right company and mindset along the way, and while initially you might not find at job you like, don’t worry, eventually you’ll, at least I did after a while :D
It’s understandable!! Me I’m almost out of high school and I’m terrified. I’m terrified that I’ll not survive on my own knowing stuff that I wasn’t taught in order to survive the world. ;-;
