hey man! you're the first person i've seen using a motorized stand for one of these. i bought my 55" CX refurb and motorized CO-Z stand(wheeled version) 2 years ago now and have been so so happy with the setup. For 4k gaming, a big 16:9 OLED is the best upgrade.

Going to pull the trigger on the 48" over the 42" only because my desk depth is 39 inches, then mounting two vertical 27 inch monitors on both sides of it for my static images/discord/ webpages I tend to keep paused for reference

2k hrs in, using my 42c2 for work and play as it is my main display of my PC, and still no signs of burn in or any problems.
an what about now? 10 months later.
Lots of people still have electronics that need composite and component hook ups..Would be nice if they still added those to tv's..

I thought I was the only person who ever bought a 48" TV. It was a Samsung that developed a 2" purple spot in the upper left quadrant of the screen. My son has it,it's still working fine, just a purple spot.
To me the 48” is the perfect size.
Why is my 42' C2 look so different from your 48'? I don't have that thin back at the top. Mine is like 80% back area bulked up with circuitry. I can't fix screen tube light on top cuz of it. You have half the ports at back while mine is entirely on the side.
Hey Ty for the vid! Just one thing...do you use the memory optimiser regularly? that helps dump some of the cached stuff that can slow it down, also...what's your internet speed? I went from a slow provider to 900mbps and have never had any probs after that....Just a thought. (in uk btw if that makes an internet diff to the states?) Also subbed
No I haven’t used memory optimizer but I’m definitely going to look into it for sure. Thanks for the tip. In regards to internet. I have 1gb internet so the internet is good. But it could be the cache. I will definitely research that more. Appreciate the sub welcome to the squad!

I have the 42inch and not going back to a regular monitor lol. The 48 inch was too big for me.
What type of TV mount do you have there brother-man? I'd like to have one similar to that; is it hard to install? Also I'm pretty surprised at how big the 48" looks in a medium sized room. I thought it would look a lot smaller.

Thanks the review, I appreciate it. I was looking between this one and the Samsung QN90B. Looks like this is the better way to go. The only real minus would be between the two on is a 50" and the other a 48". What's the latency like gaming wise?

I have the LG CX and I bought the C2 hoping things had been improved, but it was very similar to the CX. So I sent it back and got a QN90B and my honest opinion is that it's better than the CX or C2 in the ways that matter to me.
Color reproduction is much better on the QN90B. I've never liked the kind of colors WRGB OLEDs put out. The QN90B, on the other hand, has colors that look thick, rich and pure, similar to the colors on my high end plasmas.
Motion is another area that is super important to me and the QN90B has fantastic motion. It uses pulse width modulation and this clarifies motion somewhat and helps motion feel more alive to me. The CX and C2 have sample and hold motion that feels lifeless. It feels both choppier and more blurry. But it's when using black frame insertion that the QN90B really pulls ahead. The motion is super clear and smooth, which is a combination I've mainly experienced on CRTs. The C2 isn't as clear in motion and it's not as smooth, while the CX is similarly clear as the QN90B but not as smooth. And neither the CX nor the C2 are anywhere near as colorful and vibrant while using black frame insertion. The CX gets extremely dim, dull and desaturated while using BFI. The C2 is somewhat better, but still nowhere on the level of the QN90B.
So, motion and color are superior on the QN90B. Black levels look essentially indistinguishable from the CX and C2 in my viewing environment. But the QN90B has much better shadow detail and has higher perceived contrast. This is because black levels look equally dark between the three TVs, but the QN90B is much brighter.
Now, if you like to watch your TV off at a side angle or will have others watching from side angles, especially if you want to watch with the lights completely off, I would say the QN90B won't be the best option. At least not the 50 inch version I own.
I say the colors look more similar to plasmas. But I should clarify that plasmas still have better color reproduction overall.
In my opinion, for colors it goes like this:
Plasma/CRT > QLED/QD-OLED > WRGB OLED

Thanks appreciate you. I think the G3 is another solid option, but before you pull the trigger on that I’d look into the C3 if you planning to spend that much on the G3. The 1080 up scaling on the C2 is really good and when you pair that with the richness of the deep black levels being more contrasts it helps make the picture quality solid. Either way if you go with the G3, C2 (which I think is a better value and will save you money) or the C3 you will be happy.

Subscribed. I've been looking around for a new TV either Samsung or LG for my Series X and this vid been really helpful. Been reading some scary stuff about new tvs and to spend that kind of $ for something that might break soon makes you think.
Buy and forget man. No issues with the LG CX. I previously owned the CX for 2 years and it never missed a beat. Worth every dollar. Especially for gaming.
Glad I was able to help. And yea trust me I know about being hesitant on spending that kind of money. Because I did on the Aorus OLED TV and it was a let down. But for a fact the LG C2 is one of the best TVs/monitors out at its price point.

Bro I need your opinion about this problem that I have 🙏 I recently bought the lg c2 and I watch the movies directly from the apps but when I use the hdmi inputs the brightness is less! (Dolby vision) I have the fire tv stick max and the movies shine less! even using the same image settings. The other is the game mode (HDR) that the image is bright at times and at another automatically lowers the brightness. I have both hdmi inputs in 4k and I turn off the energy saving. Do you think it's a problem with the tv or that loss of brightness that all c2 models have?

Quick question I bought a 55 inch C2 display model from PC Richards for $1,504 with the 5 year warranty but it had 3,973 total power on time do u think I should take it back in get a new 1 he telling me I would have to pay the difference which is $152 to get a new one if not he would give me $100 back what you think I should do
FYI the 42" and 48" are also not as bright as the larger C2 models.
These are really meant to be more for gaming than being a TV. Still, they are awesome TVs.
Of course, I would be hooking up a Roku, AppleTV, or Chromecast w/ Google TV to this computer. I hate WebOS with the fiery passion of 10,000 suns.
I disagree they are firstly a TV made for watching content and then gaming. The smaller sizes get a little less bright indeed , but it is still amazing for tv viewing. The brightness difference isn’t that big between the bigger size and smaller size. If I had to say it’s like around 10%?

If the app/movie you're watching offers Dolby Atmos then it will get supported.
Purchased the 42 inch. I was going to buy the 48 since the price is similar, but idk for my small home office/gaming space felt like it would be way to big 🤣 idk if I'll regret it, guess when my 65 living room LED dies out I'll just buy a larger OLED for in there 😆

@@FunKaYxxD1sCO I like it, glad I went with the 42. The 48 would definitely be way to big for the space I'm using the 42 in. I'm strictly using it as a gaming/entertainment monitor. I have an ultra wide widescreen monitor if I wanna use my laptop on a bigger screen, but personally I'd be able to use the 42 as a workstation as well, just cause I've used a 46+ LCD tv in the past as a computer monitor lol.

@@FunKaYxxD1sCO my desk is only 19 1/2 inches in depth. My Widescreen monitor is wall mounted, and this TV is pretty slim where you can push it up against the wall pretty well. I also have enough room to sit comfortably away from the TV when I game or watch something.
Never understood why the 42" is more expensive than 48" on BestBuy. Am I missing somethign here?
I was looking at the LG. Had one years ago but hated the UI and had horrible remote. Still looks like not much has changed. This is main reason I bought my Samsung S95B. I'm looking for another TV for my downstairs lounge. I'm looking to be swayed but really like my Samsung so looking around and hoping prices come down a little more. Not made my mind up yet. I have PS5 but have subscribed to the xbox game pass so that would be another plus for getting another Samsung. Add to that the PIP they have which is very handy. Maybe someone else can point to any extra features on LG models that might impress me.
Love my C2 48 inch makes up for the lack of features of my ps5 like being able to Google with my voice and the results pop up in the top corner of the screen so I can Google while I play!
120hz is a game changer! Going back to 60 feels like playing on a ps2 with a dirty disc!
Only problem is the controller has certain buttons for quick launching apps and the ones I don't use download the app everytime I press them by mistake! Would be nice if I was able to remap them
My CX still like brand new no issues, but my Kids using it so i purchased Qn90a almost as good of oled just more brighter.

I don't sit that close to my monitor...I would say about 6-7 feet back. I was only sitting close in the video for filming reasons.

Go to All Settings | General | Devices | TV Management | TV Information and scroll down to Total Power On Time and it should be there. I'm curious how many hours you got on it?

The 42 in my opinion is better for people who want to use it mainly as a desktop monitor and for console or PC gaming. But when you step into the 48 inch and up I think it's geared for people who want to use it for console gaming and for watching TV content. Just my .02

I didn't watch the video but I came here to say I have the c2 42 inch and YES it is the right choice for PC and PS5.

Correction:
The 42 and 48 inch models have the old panel.
The 55 and up have the newer one which allows them to have a higher peak brightness.
However the key word is "peak" so unless you plan on pushing the settings up to make it as bright as possible then this won't be a huge issue
Entirely depends on the manufacture date. If 42 and 48 inch versions have a manufacture date past the 2nd quarter from the release date they started to get released with the newer panel. I have the 42 c2 and it has the newer EX panel. You can check this in the service menu. for the 42 inch if it says version 08/00/1/03 that's the newer OLED EX panel, for the 48inch 08/50/1/03, if its the older WBC panel it will say 00/00/1/03. LG just limited the brightness on the smaller size models under 55"

Pro-tip: I own a C2 77" and a 48" and I use the Roku Ultra on both TVs, and it makes the #2 and #3 issues you are talking about completely go away.
I actually really like the Roku as well as it’s app for the remote. Really sweet

@@mr_red13 I use the 48" for the most part as a gaming monitor for my Xbox Series X and my PC, so I am sitting about 4 feet away from it. My honest opinion would be that a 48" would be too small for most living rooms.

I use my LG G2 83 oled as my monitor, burn in hasn't been a thing for years. The majority of America uses coax to connect to antenna or boxes. C3 is out now and I ordered the 77" G3 for the mla panel and it was was only 4600

tv company should have straight tv mode. wbere we do need apps and shit. i use exteneral devices for that. just want a tv like looks amazing.
It's time to upgrade, bruh burn in and auto dimming is annoying af plus you have to buy a special service remote thing that will void your warranty to even disable the auto dimming

I wish SDR gaming was talked about for example with consoles like the Switch and even the PS3 or games that don't have hdr. There's a Con there from what Im hearing from the community.
For me I only play PS5 games and Switch but mostly handheld with the Switch. So I'm not the best at talking about PS3 games on this channel.

It's the bloatware - I disabled the WiFi/internet so they can't load and it's very snappy

Mini-Led for gaming can’t risk the burn especially for $3 to 4K tv.
I haven’t experienced any burn-in on any OLED TVs I own.

your tv is like a cell phone . the longer you use it without restarting it , the slower it works . restart your tv once a while and it should work smooth
