Influential player playing the riffs of an influential player, while having an excellent recording of the excellent tone. This video is a big win in every way. Mr. Bowcott, if you ever decided to do a project somewhere between Grim Reaper and Dio era Black Sabbath, I would humbly offer my vocals and bass skills. 😉
As much as I wanted one of these, I went with the epiphone SG standard instead, the beefier neck and pick gaurd with the old school gibson tuners made me want it more and the alnico pick ups just sound so killer into a orange super crush. But I still want one of these, but 1000 for a epiphone is why I'm waiting for one used.
Thanks for your informed input. I had a Gib SG many years back and really liked the warmth of the stock pickups. I was always impressed how those pickups could overdrive a modest tube amp into overdrive distortion for lead work. This was well before The fuzz and overdrive and Boss pedals permeated the marketplace.
Nick you knocked it out of the park! Just added to my Santa's shopping list (for me). I had always thought the Monkey Sticker adds something magical to the sound! Thanks again!😉
@@sotis1756 Lol As a "logo" you're not going to flip it anymore than mirroring the Gibson logo. The Monkey is not to be flipped !! Would you flip Fred Flintstone? Coca Cola logo? NEVER! This monkey has always faced to the right since I was a kid in the 60s - 70s before Tony used it. But, good eye anyway. 🎸
My dream guitar!! I wish I had the money to get one.🥺 I have a epi g310 for now. Got it at a pawn shop for 80$ Came with a invader pickup at the bridge! My great luck!
I wonder why they didn't gloss seal the neck like the Gibson version? I tried this guitar at Andertons, nice tone, but, whoever had strung it at the factory didn't know how, G string kept going out of tune, definitely a guitar you would want to try before you buy
NOW IF I PUT Banjo strings on it like Tommy and Rubber glove tips on my Figers as Tommy has to due to a hand Burn long a go I bet I could sound just like him
Well Tony had P-90 pups in the 1960s-70s cos that was the best that was available to him then. Now of course P-90s are a poor and very noisy pup for high gain anything so the Monkey is a fossil that should stay with Tony imo. You don't hear the loud hum in this video cos he's been careful to turn off the guitar volume when not playing. How have Epiphone attempted to tame the very high hummm levels from these howling P-90s. Are they humm cancelling P-90s or just the usual noisy howlers ?

There was an album before that man. Black Sabbath @@tjchad1
Couldn’t ask for a better Demo video; than by Mr. NICK BOWCOTT! ⭐️⭐️🎸⭐️⭐️
Mick?
@@FortessofShred Thank you. These old eyes don’t see things anymore.😇
This demo is especially cool because Nick is a lefty like Tony 🤘

My only issue with it is that the sticker is mirrored the wrong way for us right hand players sadly

Great Vid and playing. I'm definately getting one ! from Sweetwater, I recently bought a Deluxe Reverb from S.W.
I used to have the ebony one with cross inlays. The inlays went all way down the fretboard, before that was only made with inlays half way down.

The sg g310 is a $500 SG brand new. I got one back in 2011 but have been discontinued since 2012 or 2013 I believe
That guitar suits Nick. He really should keep it.
I remember when Nick had hair seeing him at NAMM through the late 80s and 90s😅
Very cool!
That thing fits you like a glove nick!! You need one with a big ol' brit flag painted on it. 😁

Tear it up
I didn't know Gibson/ Epiphone ever used witch hat knobs.
Maybe I'll get a lefty and string it upside down.. I heard it's been done... Lmfao
Can I get just the sticker for my SG?
Supernaut!

It wasn't a burn his finger tips got chopped off
Who is Tommy??? TONY. TONY.

Too much gain on that amp..
No such thing
Then you’d hate how much gain Tony uses now on his Ironheart lol actually since 1996 he’s used that Ironheart heavy heavy gain son

This is such an ignorant take
😂😂😂😂😂😂....wow....😂😂😂😂😂..ehhh...😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shush, kid
If you can't play well, play loud and heavily distorted.
