Prepare yourselves to hear the story of Yeonmi Park because it’s heavy.
When she was a teenager, Yeonmi escaped from North Korea to China. What she experienced was horrible - being sold as a sex slave by border officials, walking across Mongolia in the middle of winter and nearly dying of starvation.
But Yeonmi made it out alive, and now she lives happily in Chicago. She is outspoken about the terrible regime in North Korea and she voices her thoughts on her CZcams Channel, and through various best selling books. I invite you to share your opinions about Yeonmi’s story and about North Korea in general in the comments below.
Hope you had a very Merry Christmas and remember that freedom is not always free.

Drew, People, who goes to North Korea they are not allowed to see the reality of North Korean and Korea. Whatever we know with social media. One thing for sure, Kim Jong-Un is not good and people are suffering. I saw same conditions in Libya , while working in 2001. Hi Yeonmi, I have read your first book, I am very glad you made it, so sorry you had to go through such a tough life till now, that you finally are free, yes everyone should be free. Good luck with your life. It is so very wrong how people are treated in North Korea, it really should & must change. I know you are trying to get big changes made in Nth Korea, I hope this movement succeeds, humanity needs to exist in free lands. Not in poor dark lands where people are being manipulated & used negatively to their detriment. This is so wrong, everyone needs a free life, absolutely everyone, thanks for sharing, I will support you forever. ❀

Kim can never kill you. Your journey, your words and your courage are immortal. He will be seen as coward if he tries attacking you.

Killing her will just make her a martyr. But her message and ideas are indeed immortal

Don't say never, North Korea has spies just like every other country. He has killed family members for less and I don't think he cares about martyrdom, probably thinks it is a made-up word used by the evil west.
