- Tea is a huge part of Turkish culture. It is the drink that connects the nation and is a part of almost every activity in Turkey. This time we meet a family of tea growers and spend the day with them. we see how simple life looks like in the area of Rize looks like and get to see where Turkish tea comes from.
We have been in Turkey for over two months now, living the van life.
Our journey here is documented in a travel vlog format.
New videos are out every Monday and Thursday evening.

We are a van life couple Jo and Miina, quite new to CZcams but really excited to be a part of this community. We are about living small and sustainable in our home on wheels. You have to go to Artvin and Arhavi where there are nice lakes waterfalls and landscapes like Karagol lake and Cifte Kopru and mencuna waterfall
You also need to visit kastomonu city Amasia and Amasra as well as Sofranbolu

Turkey is #1 in tea consumption in the world with 3.14 kg per person per year. #2 is Ireland with 2.18 kg and #3 is UK with 1.94 kg/person per year. It is so much consumed in Turkey that you can see news anchormen & anchorwomen drinking tea on live TV while presenting news 😂

OMG!!! Welcome to my homeland. I wish we were this lucky family, I would love to host you. Our tea plantations are more beautiful and tidy, our scenery is better, we also have a lot of flowers and I have a small house and I have a pond and a swimming pool next to it. Rize province is beautiful.

Really great to see you both consistently going off the beaten track and integrating with the locals wherever you go. With the amount of free hospitality and food you get on your travels I’m surprised that you both aren’t 20 stone.

Ali Bella - Denmark is a beautiful country. Never underestimate what is available to see in your own back yard. You also have the stunning landscape and amazing people of Norway and Sweden and the rest of magical Europe as your neighbours. The grass isn’t always greener …..just a different shade.
