At 25 years after Dr Sagan passed away, I can only imagine how he would feel if still alive, witnessing all advances in astronomy and space exploration that we are enjoying today. I'm certain that he would have participated in many of them. Dr. Sagan has been probably the best science divulgator ever.

I'm 70 years old and I remember back in 1980 when COSMOS by Carl Sagan came out on PBS. Then, the Reagan administration cut funding for PBS and they had to hold telethons to raise money for programming. If Carl Sagan were still living he would be delighted by how much science research being done and would be happy we have the Webb telescope. But, he would be greatly disappointed by all the anti-science rhetoric from our politicians. I'm sure he would be urging Americans to get vaccinated.

Webb will hopefully provide data that can be used to improve the accuracy of the Drake equation.
