  • Doing a port and polish isn't hard to do! Smooth off rough edges and be sure when the two items mesh, they don't have any steps so the air can move freely from one chamber to the next. here the barrel outlet overlapped the casing chamber, so we filed away excess material so the transition is smooth. Still a little of polishing to do with fine wet & dry but you should get the drift of the video.

Thanks for the video. Good tip with the case apart. I usual match with a gasket or fabricated riser.

Cool to see the progress. What are the results? Any jetting change needed?

No changes to jetting. Really just cleaned up rough edges and increased smooth air flow. Thanks for watching.

Can't tell you, Sorry. At a glance it seemed to be in the casting????? It was years ago and the bike has since left me.

Is this really a dt175? Look more like an rs100/125

Thanks Tim. Good words of wisdom. Just doing my own thing. Knocking off the rough edges with what tools I can afford. Probably didn't video the parts where we smooth it all off. By the way, you spelt "technique" wrong.
