@@staceym5164I was wondering what song was song..if they did A year in Janie Time ..that would had blown him away..Dick ask some of the stupidest questions to the artist ..to think he graduated from SU.
I've searched and searched and can't find any videos of The Sunshine Company actually performing any of their songs. And even on American Bandstand, it would have just been a lip-synch. Has anyone ever been able to locate a video of them actually performing??
Then you must be Mary's daughter or sister ? I read somewhere within the last two years that Mary had passed away which is truly sad news. They were one of the most underrated group of the era and genre. Have the albums and several of the tunes are amongst my favorites. Year Of Jaine Time, Back On The Street Again, Happy. And there weren't many groups back then who had the guts to cover Beatle tunes and do it well like they did with Rain.
If this is 1968, it's "Look, Here Comes The Sun". Their other two hits, the top 40 "Back on the Street Again" and the now-legendary "Happy" came in 1967.

The late Larry Sims on bass---what a great bassist, especially his work with Loggins and Messina.
I miss you Mary ❤️
Didn't they sing "Back On The Street Again" before this interview?
Is there any live video, of this wonderful group?
Yes, they sang that song.

Rod...The Sunshine Company's big song was "Back On The Street Again" and peaked at #34 in 1968. Two members later backed Loggins and Messina.
Be sure and site Wikipedia as your source.
