Penn Waste • Mack LR Loadmaster Eclipse Collecting Recycling!

- After nearly two years in the making, Penn Waste's Loadmaster Eclipses are finally on the road collecting trash. After trying out a demo Eclipse back at the end of 2020, they placed their order then, and in the midst of the world melting down, lead time for new trucks understandably skyrocketed. The first handful showed up in the fall of 2021, but unfortunately had factory defects, and had to get shipped back to Michigan to be fixed by Loadmaster. a few months later, in early 2022, they made the trip back here to PA, and after being outfitted with all their camera systems and decals, they finally hit the road in the spring. It took me a few months to get the chance to go find and film one, most of the fleet of ASL's are still Labries, and most of the routes aren't exactly full-ASL friendly.
There's drivers that love them, and there's drivers that hate them of course, but I think it just boils down to what some are used to using and what some prefer operation wise, but overall there's no outstanding complaints about these, other than Waste Connections cheaped out on the chassis' and got base models with no engine brakes.

Awesome video! Love to watch these trucks. Interesting that some drivers hate and love them. Liked the lid flips that this driver did, it made it very entertaining. Nice work!
Nice find, I’m sad because the eclipse that does trash in my area doesn’t flip lids, it looks like they tuned it to be slower. It services Baltimore pike in Hanover on Wednesdays
