Penn Waste • GS Products Recycler Collecting Yard Waste

- Here is one of Penn Waste's GS Products Recyclers. They used to have a handful of trucks identical to this one, but this is now the only LEU recycler they have left, and their only other Recycler is a jumbo tri axle GS Products on a Mack LR. This truck bounces around a good bit between tasks, weather its running manual recycling routes, picking up skipped trash stops, or like seen here, running yard waste. Penn Waste, like just about every other operation out there, has been experiencing a labor shortage for the last year or so, so this truck is prefect for a driver to take to run a few stops, only needing a driver, whereas most of their fleet is rear loaders, and requires a driver and loader.
I was able to catch Collin taking this truck out the first time they let him take it out on a Saturday for yard waste, and while super unconventional, it doesn't work half bad, and the bucket holds more than you'd originally think, the only small slowdown is when the the bucket needs dumped a few times back to back, and the blade cant keep up, otherwise its a good option for yard waste imo.

Great find with this one!! Love seeing these recycling trucks get used for yard waste and for trash pick up. They have a pretty good size hopper and they seem to pack pretty decently.

do they have all yard waste picked up on a separate day from recycle and trash?
Yard waste in this specific township is done once a month on the first Saturday of the month.
Only one or two places in the whole area have weekly and during the week collection, 95% of places run it on Saturdays.
