Hey tightrope, great video! I was hoping that you’d be able to make a tips and tricks video for veteran players - build orders for each faction, statistics about each unit and just an overview of all of the new features that weren’t present in CoH1 & 2 (I get that you partially did the latter in this video though).

Small tips: Spend your Manpower (yellow ressource) try to always be below 600 unless you need a specific tech unit. Try to get some mainline infantry early and then add a few support weapons/vehicules as the game goes on.
Your HQ and medic building have an 'auto reinforce' toggle, this means your infantry will automatically reinforce when they reach your base which means you don't have to manually do it and look away from the battlefield. Very recommended.
Questions:
Does the minesweeper also increase repair speed like in CoH2?
Does right-clicking outside of a building/transport will make the squad exit like in CoH2? Since you held right click and moved the mouse to reposition the MG inside.

So do flamethrowers only "ignore cover" now instead of doing bonus vs cover and less vs guys in negative cover?
I don't know the exact numbers on most mechanics in COH3. Flamethrowers only did less vs units in water negative cover in coh2, not on roads
Hardest thing for me is to remember, which units can snare and which have satchels, mines, grenades and so on .. :D
Does cover assist with defence against machine guns on tanks? Both for CoH 2 and (unlikely to have been tested yet, admittedly) CoH3
Both pintle and hull mounted, if there is a difference
I believe the cover bonus applies even if the tank is right up in the infantry’s face.
Unlike infantry VS infantry where at point blank range, cover doesn’t matter.
Speaking of clearing buildings. Im not some CoH specialist and i havent played CoH3 much but, this new breach mechanic really surprised me. I had my MG in a building and enemy squad managed to sneak up on it. Anyway, they started breaching the building. It consists of them kicking down the door and lobing grenades in the building. Animation takes some time to perform but, i couldnt order my MG team to exit the building at that time. In any case, breach procedure killed 3 of the models and forced last one out to the street where he got instantly mowed down due to low health.
I wonder if its supposed to work like that? I mean, breach animation locks you out of exit/retreat commands?!

I'm new to the game - my Question is how do you turn the map 360 degrees what key do I hold down? UK player
hold alt and move your mouse to change the camera angle, double backspace resets it to the default view

Umm… not sure, but I think yellow cover isn’t directional. Or did they change it from previous games?
It wasn't in COH1 but it was in COH2, though some yellow cover like craters from rocket artillery were omnidirectional in COH2
I was hoping for a more comparison of mechanics between the previous game and this one. If we are on this channel, I'm sure we're all aware of the basics like capturing points and retreating.

I was really interested to see how they changed shit around because it looks like the same game as coh2 to me.
@@NuStiuFrate This is most likely made as well due to how Tightrope and Greyshot are doing a collaboration with a few other streamers who are new to the game. They are gonna have a friendly competition with both of them teaching these new players and this video would really help them for the upcoming stuff.

Battle groups are just doctrines that you can adjust
And all the qol upgrades from coh2 are there.

Bought the game and refunded before 2hour mark... The unit animations are so lacking compared to previous 2 games... Especially the machine gun teams.. Tank cannon blasts lack the oomph of previous games.. Observe the hmg team and you'll know what I mean... If the game devs ever fix it I'll give this game another chance..
Same here, refunded after 30 minutes.
Not to mention the horrendous UI, it looks like something from pre-alpha demo. I can't stand it. Big black ugly boxes looks like placeholders from alpha
Also, no profile stats, leaderbords, ladder etc
