  • An introduction to the Yellow Cruise from Windermere Lake Cruises. A scenic 90-minute return half-lake cruise on Lake Windermere, in England's Lake District National Park.
The cruise connects Lakeside Pier (the southernmost tip of Lake Windermere) with the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere half way up the lake. The cruise allows you to get off at each stop and explore the local area before returning on a later boat. Alternatively, just stay on board for a delightful 90 minute circular cruise to see Lakeland fells, historic houses and beautiful ancient woodlands.
Alight at Lakeside for connections to the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Steam Railway, and shuttle bus to Lakeland Motor Museum. Lakeside is also convenient for woodland walks and Lakes Aquarium.
Alight at Bowness and you're right in the heart of this bustling Lakeland village, complete with many shops, cafes, bars and hotels.
We hope you find this video gives you a good overview of what you can see and experience on a Yellow Cruise with Windermere Lake Cruises.

Thanks for pointing that out Craig. You're quite correct, but it's getting harder and harder to just refer to it as such. The village also called Windermere and all the local roadsigns saying Lake Windermere don't help the poor tourist either! We try to strike a balance between the both of them, but yes, technically you are correct. Thanks for getting in touch.
