Did Palworld rip off Elden Ring?

The most I played Palworld, the more it began to remind me of another game... and no I'm not talking about Pokemon! The similarities between Palworld and Elden Ring are obvious to anyone that knows what to look for; but are these references Easter Eggs, or did Pocket Pair just steal some iconic elements from FromSoftware's magnum opus, Elden Ring?

I guess the trees are based on Yggdrasil, which is a common feature of norse mythology. Churches with statues are hardly uncommon, many real churches have statues too. I guess the circle is the biggest similiarity. But portals are usually depicted as round in games, so not too unusual either.
