swacch bharat campaign has been started in our school The S.D Vidya School Ambala from today ,which will end on 2-10-2014.A slogan writing competition is also organised and charts are being made by staff and students for display boards.
It is a welcome initiative particularly in such type of indiscipline people who don't know the meaning of cleanness and for every their bad action blame the Govt !
A long awaited change. To achieve results we must romp in celebrities every week to work area wise along with all municipal corporation and panchayats. Only then the government will be able to achieve 100% faster and permanent result and change.Once the people get into the habit of cleanliness they will not tolerate dirt.
I can still remember the rhyme, "Little drops of water, Little grains of sand, Make the mighty ocean And the pleasant land....." A little effort from our part can make our country beautiful. "Clean India" is a Holy and pious thought. I must join the program on 2nd October

respected sir the real problem with waste management is the disposal issues kindly see to that already identified sites be given good infrastructure and where disposal sites are not sufficient identify and fence all over for future usages bcoz in future disposal land will be the limiting factor for waste management also there is need to mandate dry waste, sanitary waste and wet waste segregation from all citizens then we can divert wet waste to compost yards hotels and other waste which are liquid in nature to biogas plants dry waste to material recovery facilities and sanitary waste to biomedical waste management (incineration) then the rejects has to go to landfill all fertilizer industries should purchase manure from compost yards create market for recoiled products especially paper and plastics also put a check on the things which are not able to recycle its a long way to go but not impossible good start..
Yes it is the responsibility of every Indian to keep the surroundings clean. But it is easier said than done. The idea of cleanliness, the habit of 'not littering', is completely absent in majority of Indian citizens. Along with this movement, where every citizen is expected to play his/her part, some strict rules and regulations will have to be placed in all the cities and villages across the nation. That itself will force this to become a habit.

Great idea! How each household can have basic toilet in planned timeframe? It needs a huge investment and this mammoth task can generate huge job opportunity for our youths. We can recycle the west for fertiliser and energy.
