Just saw it and yeah, it was a bit boring at times. I think it's because some scenes and ideas were streched just too long, making it tedious to watch. After specific scenes I always thought "Okay, now it ends... oh, it didn't". Then I just really wanted the whole movie to end, so I could go home. First part was better but this second part was just a mixed bag of things that weren't really needed and things that were simply missing.

As being a Star Wars fan I hated the first part even more. Although Lucas took so many ideas from Dune books, he made of it so incredible movies and epic characters. I also like to watch "serious" sci fi movies as well, but Dune wasn't that either, it has so much mythic, prophecies and religious content that it is actually for people who believe in that kind of narativ.
Everyone hyped up the worm scene, and yea.. it IS cool. But they … did nothing.

Reading a book does not mean boring. You got the 2 groups mixed up.
I wanted to see more Giedi Prime, other worlds etc.
The end fight... worms ride in, then "oh this Kicks ass!" But then its OVER!
It's weird, Ireally liked part one but two is absolutely horrible. So boring. I don't understand the hype.
You are not alone. Great spectacle, but 2D characters + flat story telling = I don't really care
good to know it's not just me. I love Denis Villeneuve but have been let down by Part 1 and 2 so far. hoping he hops to something else next

Batista was good in guardians and blade runner, but here he was laughable.
