I'm sick of games trying to visually top one another I want more cool gameplay and unique ideas instead. Give me a cool art style that will stay the test of time.

I actually really like these dimishing returns. Means my pc will last way longer and the need to upgrade is getting less and less. 8K gaming will probably never become mainstream. New consoles will all have backwards compatibility and new games take longer and longer to develop which all means.... more time for my humungous backlog lol

I like the video, but i think you forgot an important part of the puzzle. Consoles like the ps5 are about 2x or less the power of their predecessors, but the issue is that most games an at 1440p 30 fps on the ps4 pro, and games need to run at 2160p 60 fps on the ps5, something that isn't realistic unless the game has ps4 graphics. We could achieve something like fully raytraced games that would really impress nad be touted as next-gen, but that would cost the resolution and fps that people are so used to, so they complain about graphics, while also complaining when a next-gen game doesn't include 4k or 60 fps.
