A small curious fact about Glyptoteket Art Museum is that this was actually the private art collection of Carl Jacobsen, the son of the founder of Carlsberg Brewery. He commissioned Glyptoteket as the building to house his private art collection and make it publicly accessible.
Tivoli Garden from 1843 is actually the third oldest amusement park in the world with Wurstelprater in Austria from 1766 as the second oldest and Bakken Amusement Park north of Copenhagen, Denmark from 1583 as the oldest amusement park in the world.
When Tivoli opened in 1843, it was located just outside the western entrance gate to Copenhagen so just outside the city bastions and moat. The lake in Tivoli is a remnant of the moat that surrounded Copenhagen up to the end of the 1850s.
Copenhagen has changed a lot. The city is very different from the Copenhagen I grew up in 50 years ago. Although I have lived abroad all over the world the past 30+ years (currently in Singapore), I feel Copenhagen is a much better place today compared to what it used to be when the entire harbor front was basically industrial areas.
One of the best vlogs ive ever watched
AW thank you 🥹 means a lot!
As usual, I LOVE the content!! What shoes would you recommend that are comfortable for walking around in Europe?
so glad to hear, thank you! i wore my adidas sambas everyday and they’re comfy to me :) definitely some sort of sneaker!
Love Copenhagen
yess such a great city!
My dream city. Thank u for this incredible vlog❣
one of my mine as well, it was amazing! thank you 🥰
Will there be a Stockholm vlog?🇸🇪😀
Climate change also have brought weird weather here. This SHOULD be high summer. Fall last year were more like high summer. We have had great weather on/off last 3 months. BUT if you had been in some parts of Europe you would have had extreme heat and that´s worse than a drizzle here and there, if you ask me.
Any restaurant/cafe recommendationssss !?
all the places in the video 🥰 but my personal favs were buka for coffee & pastry, fabro for pasta, and try a danish hot dog!
