  • 5 disc fogger system for a 4x4 automated gourmet grow tent. This tent can produce a fair amount of mushrooms with two shelves filled with 5lb sawdust fruiting blocks.

    Dude your videos are amazing....

    If I was growing commercially I might try this. Modified mono tubs are all you need to grow more mushrooms than you ever need. Only thing you have to worry about is temperature.

      This setup is for gourmet mushroom production.

    Excellent tutorial. That system will supply all the humidity you need, for sure. Awesome tent too. I’m a fan of automation. Thanks

      It's important to note that such a small tent is relatively easy to dial in, the larger the tent/room, the longer the drying period to prevent issues with constant moisture.
      Carbon dioxide will become increasingly problematic as the number of fruiting blocks increases. Paying careful attention to fruit morphology will help to identify issues as they arise.

      @@StipeCap Woah…. there is a lot of knowledge buried in that last sentence. Like knowing what you are looking at and what to do about it. Someone (wink wink) needs to write a book! Or just make a shit ton more videos.

      @bendrixbailey1430 most of these videos supplement longer posts found at the shroomery.

      @@StipeCap It is daunting bro. I’ve been reading, trying to assimilate as much knowledge as I can. I don’t mind the work and I’ve learned a lot of new things in my life. But prob because some of what we grow is not easy to talk about the knowledge appears to be spread out and fragmented. Also, a lot of the people who have voice do not agree with each other. So, thanks for the work you do creating videos and posting on the Shroomery.

    I plan to make mine pretty similar to that, except I'll use an IP68 case fan to push the humidity in and have the exhaust fan creative a negative pressure chamber. It looks like you have a positive pressure setup. I'll probably also install either a UV light or UV sterilizer filter, I'm not sure which is better yet. And eventually I'll add a float valve. I appreciated your point about not running wires through the lid, I was thinking of doing that but now I know better. Thanks for the demonstration.

      Floats are handy, I would have installed one if I had a water source, but had to resort to manual filling.

    How do you have your intake fan set to blow the fog into the tent? Is it also on a separate 2 on/5 off timer? Do have a speed controller for it? Or is it on 24 hours a day for fresh air?

    • @StipeCap
      @StipeCap  Před 6 měsíci

      The fogger system is what's set to the cycle timer. Both the inline Canfan and the fogger are plugged into the cycle timer, they power on simultaneously to provide humidity and fresh air.
      The exhaust fan is plugged into the speed controller.

    How exactly do you calculate the number of air exchanges per hour?

    • @StipeCap
      @StipeCap  Před 3 měsíci

      By comparing the volume of your fruiting space to the volumetric output of your blower. A 100³ft room paired with a 100CFM fan will exchange the air in ~1 minute.
