#Top10 #nintendo #platformer - Hry
Anyone noticed that his videos are oddly paced.
Blame the algorithm. It likes this pacing apparently
The teams who developed these games are masters of their craft.
Among my favorite 3D platformers are: Ninja Gaiden 1, 2 and 3 on PS3, Sonic Adventure on the Sega Dreamcast, and Sly Cooper on PS3 with all of its twists and turns.
Surprised Rayman 2 didn't make this list, not a collectathon tho.
Tinykin is such a fun 3d platformrr too, that doesn't get spoken about enough
DK64 is fantastic, and I'm glad to literally have a single pundit still celebrating it
#1 Conkers Bad Fur Day
The only real choice
Id have to say Mario Galaxy is better then two, not saying I didn’t like the game but for me 1 felt more grand and that you where in space
Spider-Man needs a Spyro and a Rachet outfit. :p
Rayman 2
What is the game at 2:35?
demon turf
Good project
Sonic adventure 2 was GOLD 🔥
I can't stand Tails and Eggman in this game. Otherwise, I agree that the game is great.
@@genkaiba15 don’t get me started on Knuckles and Rouge 💀
Astro playroom's fun and the VR too
Psychonauts is up there as one of my all time favorite 3D platformers, the amount of variety in that game is virtually unmatched, plus it has some of the best writing this genre has ever seen.
Psychonauts 2 is one of my favorite Platformers of all time. It’s one of the very few Platformers I’ve played that legitimately had me invested in the story.
Solid top 10 but… Banjo will always be #1 for me
The entire original Spyro trilogy was excellent. Also the first game on the list I actually played.
A list like this needs to be top 20! Surprised it wasn't harder to pick
How do they have less views than when it was first posted??
CZcams doesn't show exact view counts. Just a collated approximation.
I'm stealing them >:)
@@Vaguer_Weevil hold them for a decade and return most (not all) when youre called out.
Rift apart doesn’t hold a candle to the OG trilogy or even the first two future games
Banjo Tooie for me, such an improvement
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is not only my favorite 3D Platformer, it’s my favorite game of all time
It's really damn good, I can't blame ya
we're overdue for a new donkey kong country tho
That awkward moment when you come here for recommendations and you’ve already played all the games on list

Can't believe yooka laylee didn't make the indy slot
Took a really isn't that great. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent game. But honestly the biggest downfall for it was the meter that prevented you from freely using moves. Could you imagine if banjo had a meter on how long you could use the talon trot?
Pacman world 2 deserved an honorable mention at the very least.
This.
YES
That Completionist top 10 transition song is classic.
Fun platformers!
I feel one of the Mario slots could have been filled by a Kirby game (Forgotten Land was AMAZING) but it makes sense due to how genre defining Mario has become.
For me, Kirby and the Forgotten land has deserved a spot on my list. It has taken a long long time for Kirby to make the jump to 3D; but to do it so flawlessly is a testament to how fundamentally fun and flexible the core Kirby formula is.
You would not think that games centered around jumping would be so fundamental to an industry, but they certainly are.
Bummer that Lara Croft didn't make the list (it totally counts as a Platformer).
I've been interested in quite a few of the games on this list for a while, but like so many others, they've fallen into my ever growing "I'll get to it later" list. Super Mario Odyssey definitely sits firmly on that list, despite how many people I've seen do full play throughs of it. I'm also glad Donkey Kong 64 managed to make the list, as it's one I spent an eternity on back in the day, long before the advent of readily available internet guides and such, even if it didn't feel the most rewarding to 100% by the end of it, I still loved running around in its wide and varied worlds. All and all though, quite the good list. Looking forward to the next vid, man.
I will stand firmly and say Mario Odyssey is the absolute best Mario game, and one of the best games I've ever played! It is the most joyous gaming experience of my life. The game is a giant celebration of the entire history of Mario up to its release, and is the swan song send-off to Charles Martinet's role as Mario. It really is a perfect game! You gotta beat it!
@@larryisntmynamebutyoucanca9625 It's definitely on my list of "Have To Play"s, to be sure. I rarely hear anything bad about it.
When my girlfriend and I played Sonic Adventure 2 together, she only knew Shadow as a laughing stock. At the end of the game she absolutely loved his character.
Very based picks
#10 Bomberman Hero #9 Mario 64 #8 Sonic Adventure #7 Spyro 2 #6 Mario Galaxy #5 Banjo Tooie #4 Banjo Kazooie #3 Donkey Kong 64 #2 Mario Odyssey #1 Rayman 2 The Great Escape N64/DC versions.
I was shocked when I saw you had put BK as number 2, but seeing Odyssey as number 1 does make sense
i love burger king
I’m so happy to see Sonic Adventure 2 so high on the list! Truly one of the most fun games I’ve ever played
Sly Cooper 2 and Sonic Adventure 2 are my personal favorites. And I think Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is a bit underrated too.
I loved Ty the Tasmanian Tiger! Apparently there's a second one i did not know about.
@@Im_just_Dane There is a second! And a third! And a fourth! (though I havent played 3 and 4/heard 4 isnt great)
@@Lightningflash10 Dang O_O impressive. Aside from myself, and you I don't think i've heard anyone else ever mention Ty the tasmanian tiger, and then to find out there 4?!

Is it possible of getting a more modern top 10 iv just wishlisted a hat in time most of the selections are unavailable to play on modern consoles and I love a 3d platformer platinum i have just finished kao and started bang on balls
Npc
Sly Cooper, that is all
Sly 2 is so good, one of my favourite games.
I put Sonic Frontiers in my list not because is the best, but because is the one that does the most things *I* Want
BRUH!!! Same!!!
Not sure about a personal top 10, but I would not have discovered the lovely New Super Tails Adventure if it weren't for you, amazing experience. You've a safe and universal list I'd say!
Platformers were one of the genres I absolutely loved as a kid. Now when I play them I struggle to stay interested most of the time. Getting older really makes me want to try and reconnect and love them again like I used to.
always love your top ten
Solid top ten! I like it! Personally, I would’ve put Mario Sunshine somewhere in there. But I really enjoyed watching! Good stuff!
Personally, I would've kept my terrible opinions to myself.
Hi Completionist
My top 10 3D platformers is:
1. Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves
2. Sly Cooper 3: Honor Among Thieves
3. Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus
4. Super Mario Odyssey
5. Super Mario Galaxy
6. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake
7. Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
8. SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated
9. New Super Lucky's Tale
10. Ratchet and Clank
Psychonauts 2 is my #1
Amazing games.
Ape Escape is the most underrated 3D platformer. DK64 being here instead of AE is crazy
Ape Escape OST is so underrated
Im only here to skim through to see the list. Completely agree. Ape Escape is such a fantastic franchise and one of my all time favs.
Rift apart instead of Going commando is also crazy
I think the most underrated 3D platformer is Toy Story 2
Npc
I love the Spyro trilogy and Toys for Bob did a great job bringing them to modern consoles, shame about the recent news.
You added a hat of time into the list, and I am grateful. Ere you go bud have a like 👍 on the house.
Of course all the Kongs get guns in DK64.
They're engaging in _gorilla_ warfare.
...I'm really surprised it never got a 3D sequel.
Nice seeing Dk64 and Banjo here
Conker's Bad Fur Day is most appropriate.
hi there and how are you doing?
I haven't played any of the Nintendo ones, but I've played a ton of 3D platformers and love the genre. The ones that have stood out to me the most are, in ranked order:
1) Psychonauts 2
2) Spyro Year of the Dragon (Reignited)
3) Tinykin
Dk64 being in top 10 3d platformers of all time is definitely a hot take but I agree that its super underappreciated and overhated. Some people even blame it for being the downfall of 3d plat/collectathons due to its bloated nature but it was still so damn good. Maybe I'm blinded by nostalgia but bk and dk64 are 2 of the most memorable game sive ever played
Hell Pie is great for anyone looking for something new
Solid top10
Glover. Its a trashfire, but its MY trashfire
The same reason dk64 (and now dk64 randomizer) has been my dumpsterfire obsession for decades
It’s a lot better when you put in the cheat codes but ya play the recent pc version they’d fix a lot of issues
@@timtheenchanter55 I will not stand for DK64 being in the same breath as Glover hahahaha
The Overworld sends shivers down my spine
@@A_Person_64 after like 3 levels done it gets pretty chill
DK64 is the best game ever made I'll fight everyone! I got coconuts right here!
This top 10 might have ended my boomer shooter phase. Man I love 3d platformers ❤
Would Jet Force Gemini count as a 3D platformer? I know it's normally a 3rd person shooter, but I remember it having a lot platforming as well as it's own collectibles, if it does I'd say that's one of my favorites along side Mario Sunshine, Banjo Kazooie, and CBFD.
I count Jet Set Radio as a 3D platformer, so yeah. Definitely.
I can't ever pass up an opportunity to echo how underrated Jet Force Gemini is.
I have played 4 of these so far. Never had an N64, so I am still missing all of those. Definitely want to check them out some day. Probably gonna play them on the Switch at some point. Well, except DK64 I guess, as they still haven't added that one to the Switch as far as I know.
Psychonauts 2 not being on this list is criminal!! 😭
They nerfed so much in Psychonauts 2, like the dynamic conversations and worse, the levitation ball physics, one of the most fun power ups I've ever played. I like #2 a lot but I still love the first Psychonauts better. You just feel like you can go anywhere you can see, where the sequel has so many invisible walls and limits, half the magic was exploring every inch of the camp.
Just like him
To me one of the best games ever made would definitly make my list everytime haha
Gotta agree about donkey Kong 64. Loved it as a kid but just couldn’t get through it when I played recently. The camera was just too wonky
I’d definitely play it if we got a remaster
Following the owl in the woods level (maybe world 5?) was my nightmare due to the camera. I swear I did that hundreds of times and only got it by blindly flying around turns
DK64 is my number 1
20. SpongeBob Battle For Bikini Bottom
19. Croc Legend of the Gobbos
18. Gex Enter the Gecko
17. Toy Story 2
16. Bomberman 64
15. Rayman 2 (Dreamcast version)
14. Ape Escape 3
13. Sonic Frontiers
12. A Hat in Time
11. Jak 3
10. Conker’s Bad Fur Day
9. Donkey Kong 64
8. Crash Bandicoot WAAAAAARPED!!! (That’s how you say it)
7. Prince of Persia The Sands of Time
6. Ratchet and Clank Future A Crack in Time
5. Kirby and the Forgotten Land
4. Super Mario Galaxy
3. Psychonauts 2
2. Banjo Kazooie
1. Spyro 2 Ripto’s Rage
Your name is supermariofan and you didn’t even put Odyssey or Sunshine? 😂
@@LightningSword13 One per franchise.
do you need to play Psychonauts 1 before enjoying the second one??
because i bought the first one on ps4 but it was some REALLY bad PS2 emulation.. i'm looking for just some good platforming experience
what do you think?
Npc
10. Shadow the Hedgehog
9. Skylander: Spyro’s Adventure (3DS)
8. Super Mario 3D Land
7. Super Mario 64
6. Snake Pass
5. Astro’s Playroom
4. Sonic Colors
3. Jak & Daxter
2. Super Mario Galaxy
1. Super Mario 3D World
Super Lucky:s Tale, though not mentioned but shown briefly, was a big surprise for me. Absolutely loved it. Also if you have the PSVR1 it is a must that you play Astro Bot Rescue Mission.
It's exceedingly rare for me to 100% agree with a Top Ten list, but I can't disgree with anything here. I would include Yooka-Yaylee and the 3D Gex games in honorable mentions, but that's the only change really.
Keep it up!
Super Mario Galaxy is my no.1 of all time and i also love Jak 1 as well
Jak 1 would have been great if it just would have allowed you to skip those damn cutscenes
they completely ruined the replay value for me...definitely better then it's sequels tho

@@wardog-lz7svWhy do you keep calling people that?
love this episode! remember all these games from my childhood 🎉
I'm still waiting for Donkey Kong 64 to come to Nintendo Switch Online 😭
Like I have it on Nintendo 64 already, but I want that portability and HD-ness, baby!~
I honestly wish DK64 would be remade. Love the game but could use some quality of life updates.
@@BitterMillenial The "Tag anywhere" patch alone adds so much QoL. It's one of my favorite games as a child (and still is with that patch today).
Same with Tooie
1:04 - 2:26 Still my favorite game to this day. Fun Fact: There’s a secret Dirt pile in Fungi Forest. I hope Nintendo puts this game in the N64 Library on the Nintendo Switch Online soon
Remember Cecil the Lion.
Great list my dude.
I was relieved to see Banjo Kazooie and DK64 here.
you're doing it Peter
A good list. Kinda predictable choices but honestly they're predictable because they're just GOOD. Classics stand out for a reason.
Test
10. Sonic adventure 2
9. Jak and dexter
8. Crash bandicoot 4
7. Mario galaxy
6. Banjo Kazooie
5. Psyconuts
4. A hat and time
3. Mario 64
2. Spyro 1
1. A hat and time
i tried to get into Psyconuts. bought it on ps4þþþþ but it was some VERYcrummy PS2 emulation.. didn't do the game justice at akk (or any game with that emulastion)
hope for a proper port or a remaster at some point
#9. What was that first bit? It looked like a different game.
Is it the one with the demon girl? It's called Demon Turf.
@@bunsdarius9223 yes that's the one!
It took me years to get to it (like last year) but I finally tried both Banjo games on the 64 and it is true. They are stellar and I adore them. I personally actually like Tooie ever so slightly better, just because it did so much more than Banjo-Kazooie, which is all I wanted. More Banjo. 😁
My only complaint regarding Tooie is I wish the notes weren't bundled together, I miss collecting them individually.
Curious if you'd do a top 10 adventure games list. And if so, how many Zelda's would be on it.
While I'm in agreement with you on many of these titles, the lack of both Psychonauts 1 & 2 feels like a personal slight. How dare you! :P
#1 Psychonauts 2
#2 Banjo-Kazooie
#3 A Hat in Time
#4 Super Mario Odyssey
#5 Spyro: Reignited Trilogy
#6 Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
#7 Psychonauts
#8 Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
#9 It Takes Two
#10 Croc: Legend of the Gobbos
#11 Pumpkin Jack
This one is pretty close to mine, Banjo is my #1 and AHIT my #2… Also love Croc… Haven’t played Psychonauts though
Sonic adventure two battle was my favorite game as a teenager.
Mine too! Though I’m not sure how well it holds up now. The controls are pretty janky and could really use a remake
Are you ever gonna do Elden ring?
Could you do another top10, but this time for 2D platformers?
I'd say it would be a tougher list to make🤠
Ok, so I have lost some trust in Jarred but I will still enjoy the videos for what they are bes cause if we take the person away from them, there pretty good and have been so for years.
I never played the Ty games as a kid when they brought them back as remastered games I tried them out and loved them also kao the kangaroo haven’t played the sequel yet
I would say ty the tasmanian tiger is up there for me
What’s the deal with the thumbnails?
EDIT: can someone explain what’s going on!? I feel like people are being intentionally vague
@@Xenado22 but why? Seems weird that they just changed all the sudden
Something to do with some controversy he got involved in or something cant remember
Everyone quit.
Maybe some people dont want to work with him anymore
@@jonathanquesada5275 but why?
I still miss the “month of” style of early seasons.
sly cooper?
If you haven't already played it, I'd say check out the charming little 3d platformer that is Tinykin!
Tinykin was a lot of fun. Very chill platformer with very slight pikmin ideas built in.
I really love Rift Apart. Unfortunately it just feels so short and to me doesn't have the replayability I wish it did.
you want the peak of ratchet and clank? Play the classic trilogy. Going Commando is the best of them all, but Up Your Arsenal is good in its own way taking a different approach from Going Commando
Odyssey is my favourite Mario game too!! And I think it’s the best 3D platformer ever!
I like the part of the game where he steals all the coins for himself!
Where is Kirby?!
Forgotten land is good, but not in the top ten Imo
Mario 64 took collection platformers to 3D, and it pioneered a lot of the standards, but it _is_ super short, and pretty much all of its successors offer more variety and fun.
It's iconic and important, but I wouldn't say that it's one of the best. Maybe an honorable mention.
How are 120 stars short?
@@PSN_MrDeath91 They took me less than a day to get all of on my first playthrough.
That's a short game.
