Daf buys the Octarine Core around the in-game 49 minute mark from the radiant secret shop, then proceeds to keep it in his backpack for the remainder of the game. Incredible.
4:45 ranged heroes need two hits to kill the courier while melee heroes fuck em up in one
and 6 is because couriers get hit by towers/lane minions and can survive 6 hits from them

I'm willing to bet Daf sent Joe this replay without even realizing he left an Octarine in his backpack for nearly 20 minutes or that they left Aegis on the ground.

I think the left and right click could be a remnant of LoL. I know I did that a lot when I started playing DoTa. LoL has no turn rate, so it was just a fun thing to do in lane when bored.
Edit: The healthbar thing is that it takes 2 hits for ranged heroes to kill. 6 is some arbitrary number for their hp lol.
6 is the amounts of hits it takes for creeps to kill it, at least, that's my guess.
Regarding that Aegis "bug(?)", I saw this happen too in a Jenkins video. In short, the timer for the Aegis "decay" starts when it is picked up. I'm not quite sure what happens to it if left on the ground, however.
melee has to hit a courier once, ranged has to hit it twice. i think that's why it has 2 pips
And creeps has to hit it 6 times, one for each health.
So why not six pips?
@@deathlydarknessIt does have 6 pips. Melee heroes just kill in 1 hit, so you don't notice. Xinq from XG made this a core part of his Pos 4 MK, was a delight to watch his shenanigans at Dreamleague S22.

Holy fuck this is a funny episode so far.
Daf walking back and forth is another league habit. Due the the lack of ANY turn-speed in league, characters can turn on a dime. This makes clicking back and forth a useful way to throw off enemy's aiming skills at you, most players do this habitually due to this.

Interesting. Never played anything but dotes, I just do it because it soothes my ADHD during the early laning phase 😅.
I think this is giving daff a lot of credit that he knows to do this in league for this metagame reason lol

If someone threw a box of roaches at me, I'd think twice about the fight. I can't judge Daf's button layout cuz i use WASD to move the camera while my items are on my 12 button mouse lol. Caps Lock is for self cast.

4:40 i belive its to noob proof them the creeps only do 1 damage so they survive if a nooby makes a currier pass a creepwave so its still teh same for heros but not for creeps/summons

The marks on the courier mean 2 hits for ranged and one hit for melee. That's the difference.
And it takes 6 hits for creeps, one hit per hp--yet the bar does not have 6 pips. 😂

I'm pretty sure it shares audio with Luna's taunt as well, which is why they recognize it

daf second-guessing joe and getting unwarrantedly cocky is half the reason i can’t watch the live broadcasts. it always ends badly and he just sits there sheepishly waiting for joe to hold his hand until he does it again Jebaited
I usually wouldn’t comment something like this but it’s wild to watch this video where Pyrion is looking away from the game audibly typing to somebody mid cast ignoring Joe and the game leaving pregnant pauses in the commentary and then have him tell people they need to send in games with things that he hasn’t seen in over a decade and thousands of hours of playing/watching dota.
Joe must have the patience of a saint to put up with his co-caster putting in so little effort while he’s clearly working very hard to make this series entertaining and improve his casting (while casting with a guy who just a few videos ago said there is a lack of good new casters/analysts in the DotA scene). Can’t imagine doing a cast with somebody constantly talking about how shit the game is to watch while I’m trying to produce a video people are supposed to want to watch.
I think it feels like Joe is recording a video and Pyrion is streaming. Like obviously if they’re both fine with it then my complaints don’t matter but personally I watch CZcams for tight, focused, edited, and engaging videos and I don’t watch streams because they’re none of those things and often rely heavily on manipulative relationships where the viewers feel some sort of obligation to the streamer.
