It’s crazy how majority of this list where made up of wheels that were hot in the 90’s through the mid 2000’s.
The Ronal “Bear” Wheels were a coveted item in the VDub community, and very hard to come by at a point.
The Asanti Ostrich Wheels were a big DUB item for the HipHop automotive community.
That last wheel gets a big WTF?!?!?! 😂

Back in the 70's there was a wheel like a white wagon wheel that had heart shaped holes instead of the normal triangle holes.
I've only seen about 2-3 set of these.
When I started in the tire industry 24 years ago we carried and sold Ronal Bears. I think we stocked white and...maybe...chrome? I'm quite certain of the white and I know we kept 2 finishes on hand. 15", 4 lug only. Also sold a Ronal mesh wheel similar to BBS's of that time and 1 or 2 other models. From what I recall they were really well made and never had balancing or fitment issues.
Those teddy bear rims are so cool. Paint the rims in a polo teddy bear motif and start BALLING!
Damn I remember seeing those Teddy Bear wheels in the back of Motor Trend magazines like in 99 or 2000's in their ads section.

the teddy wheels are still made here in europe, the split rim ebay add you posted are owned by a local guy, he paid thousands to get them custom mahcined into 15" split rims. They also made koala bear wheels

Fitment Industries - Nice! Examples I remember. In the mid 80s I remember almost every aftermarket wheels had holes (bullet holes). Then in the late 80s I remember the directional wheels became big. I remember people call them hurricane wheels and another had those triangle shapes. Then in early 90s spokes became popular.

i was at a car show in fl the mid 90s and a old flake mustang rolled in on one big spoke wheels maybe 18 inch lol they only had one big spoke going to the hub maybe 5 inch wide and flat, not to safe at all

In our country e30 is named teddy because it was an unknown model for us and it got his name because of those wheels so they aren't weird for me.The country is Romania where in that time we had only Dacias(The popular PUBG car)Very interesting I know...

Fun Fact: if you didn't know, Asanti Ostrich is also popular thanks to a well-known racing game, called Midnight Club 3, and it's also one of the most popular wheels in MC3, where you can install it on Lexus GS430 (a better example) for a better aesthetic, VIP looking car.
