    This video info is exactly what I was looking for. I want to adjust my horn loudness to the maximum.

    I know that on the F-Body Camaro and Firebird GM switched to those Fiamm styled horns in 1997; not sure about the other platforms on when they changed over. Always preferred the sound of the older style GM horns over these new ones.

    If a horn makes noises like that does it mean it doesn’t work?

    As much as I've used my horn, I'm surprised it still works. Original to the car too.

      All of them rotted out here. I need to change the wheel to a 96 wheel and air bag I have that 1 bugle airbag on the impala it sucks The horn does not work half the time, you have to press it in one small spot

    Cute lizard haha! I did the BBodys have that name of horns? Does your SS have a different horn from your OCC? My 96 RMW horn sounds just like my 93 RMW.

      They are everywhere. The lizards are having trouble getting around with all the floods from the rain. No they had the same horn. 2 note, I forget the letters. The OCCs horn broke ages ago so I put this style of horn on in the video well they look like them with the small 10mm nut on the back. They were Klaxon brand horns in a AC delco box made in india. Same Note as the factory horn but the volume is probably 30% louder than stock. I laughed thinking they maybe them LOUDER in India for all the animals in the streets? I have the same ones in my truck, same note and same deal they are louder than stock. Its a kit you need to make these brackets work, of If I had a welder at the time I could of tried to spot weld the horn onto the original bracket. So Yea you can use this look of horn, you just need to add a ground wire eyelet, put it under the bolt and if you want to be fancy and what I should of did, use a spade connector to connect the harness they give you to the factory wiring. If you want a louder horn get the 2 passenger side horns inside the fender by the battery from a roadmaster sedan or a Cadillac fleetwood. I have some in my stash. Never used them yet. Run a wire or be fancy and add a relay if you wish for extra power and you can have a Cadillac like note. 4 horns all different notes. Again, I have some but I cannot mount them in that location because I have relays in the fender hidden. Ill have to mount them on the frame somewhere infront of the right front wheel.. Oh if you ever buy a used horn give them the shake test or test the resistance.

      The Cadillacs had cool horns. Mines plenty loud though lol.

      Yea all those horns will work if you want to do the 4 horn mod. The new junkyard sells them for dirt cheap. The ghetto yard wanted like 10-15 per horn. This new place is like $4 a horn and no hassle return. My friend with a 94RMW that has like 210k, his horn always breaks. I dunno why but he had to change the airbag 3x. The contact over the bag breaks

      Interesting... mine has 248,900 and no airbag or horn issues. I might do that though, be a fun little mod... once I figure out my AC issue which I'm doing tomorrow and getting the little rust spots professionally

    • @jewllake

    Yikes! Now even the horns are junk? I've got some "old school" horns delco-remy hi's and low's.

    • @GhettoWagon
      @GhettoWagon  Před 7 lety

      The OE ones are made in USA I believe. The ACD replacements are always made in INDIA and they are the same tone but they are always louder. Dad joked years ago "That's because they have all the animals in the roads, Louder horns for India" Maybe correct Yea Delco Remy is GONE. Plenly here in the junkyard I should get some out of the old 1960s cars
