Just picked up a used Q5 with the 2.0T. Its not as fast as the 3.0 but its still a lot of fun in the corners. When I really want to get on the gas I just take my motorcycle out. Great car no matter how its set up.
I own the EXACT same vehicle, same year, same color, same steering wheel, sport package but mine has the Bang and Olufsen. It is my most favorite vehicle I have ever owned.
Mike C And it is hard to find a clean one. There just aren’t many for sale. I paid $38k for one with 24k miles. Clean and has B&O stereo. I got the smaller rims on purpose to keep the ride a bit smoother. They don’t look as nice as the bigger ones, but hey, that’s life.
Nice video. Recently did a test drive of the new 4 Cylinder Q5 and I hated the feeling of the smaller engine + new transmission. The driving dynamics were great though. But 6 cylinders is the way to go.
@@DrivenCompanion I have the SQ5 and i totally love it but I live and ride in the city so I think that the 3.0 with 272 BHP is certainly enough to have fun, having the 354BHP I have is great but not easy to use all that power in a regular city use. The exhaust sound is amazing, I wouldn't trade it. But no real need to have so much power unless if you go on a track or live and ride in open roads where there is no police and few people.
The point about the performance and handling of an Audi does not biol down to 0-60 acceleration, any dumb car car do that. Give me a winding mountain road with some snow or rain and you will immediately see much stronger cars (on paper) fall behind because they do not handle well and their all wheel drive does not even come close to what Audi has. Winter is the Quattro season for a reason.
@@DrivenCompanion could you advice me best winter tyres for hybrid audi q5 2012? My q5 has 235./55 /19 tyres. I would to use them in snow and iced terrain in Greek mountains for a short period. May be is better to choose narrower tyres.?

Especially knowing from my local dealer service rep advised me about apr tuning lol I do have additional questions ? I currently have bf Goodrich all seasons and I’m going to try these out this winter , do u think I’ll be safe or make it? How do u feel about phase 1 tuning ?
I am posting a video on snow tires tomorrow that may help some. I would see how the tires handle before throwing more money at winter tires as they are not cheap! Glad I could help on the 3.0T vs SQ5 front. The SQ5 is quite incredible but given the cost savings the Q5 3.0T is a pretty nice compromise. I'll shoot you an email in case you have other questions.
I love my Q5!! You are spot on-handling is rad in the snow and ice!! The power is killer and gas mileage is good too!

I love my used 2015 Q5 TDI (diesel). It's a beast with 428 lb-ft torque. And on road trip, I average about 36mpg on hwy at 70mph. Best of all worlds!
Would have loved to get a TDI. Too expensive at the time I bought this.

agree the first q i drove was a turbo 4 i didnt like the lag but loved the rest of the package so i bought one with the 3.2 and it goes beautiful

Well lets be honest, the SQ5 is really the way to go :-) 3.0T is a nice compromise though!

@@mtnbikerva1 Plus the new version of the SQ5 Mkii is made in Mexico, not anymore in Ingolstadt (Germany). That might change a lot of things.

The 2013 Q5 has real exhaust pipes. I own the exact same vehicle Mike does. The 2016 and up has fake ones.

I get about 26 mpg on the highway which is just about the same as my TT convertible....
