Drew has grown on me. My introduction was the Splittail Files. Imagine going into that series expecting a typical creepy pasta type story. I had no idea. Lol. I have come to appreciate the unique approach of Drew’s Channel. Good stuff.
I’ve been listening to Drew for a few years now, back when he had his own YT channel before aligning with Chilling Tales. Back then i waited with anticipation for his next story! I’d been a fan of CTDN for a while and when I first found Drew Bloods channel he immediately bc my favorite narrator and has since only gotten better incorporating more voices/characters to his skill! He is IMO the best!!
There’s the man that makes me smile and makes my evening. Helps me redirect my focus from this never ending pain . Luv ya Drew now let’s get it on !! 😊💕🌹 love this author as well ! Fantastic work !

You have talent and your stories make me form movies in my head that are superior to some I’ve actually seen ! Of course it helps that you have one of the best narrators helping to make them a most enjoyable experience( I’m biased of course) There are writers that are good but your ability to articulate and engage me from beginning to end is not something easily accomplished. I don’t usually go into a story in detail for those that haven’t listened yet and I hate to give Anything away but I can say that those that do won’t be disappointed. I knew from the very first story that your were going to be popular and I wish you much success now let’s keep them coming 😃
@John Sticher Work related accident that tore my rotator cuff , bursa and labrum on my dominant left shoulder along with several herniated disc’s in my upper and lower back and a torn rotator cuff and completely torn supraspanatus in the right shoulder. 5 failed surgeries on left shoulder and arm that cumulated In a ttl reverse shoulder replacement that’s left me with major nerve/muscle damage and a 70% disability. 2 surgeries to right shoulder and arm the last being in 2021 that’s still isn’t correct. I have intractable pain now due to these surgeries which is 24/7 and at best a constant level 4/5 at worst a hard 10 . Still need surgery on neck and back but have decided to put that off after having failed surgeries for the past 7 years . In addition to never ending pain I have very limited left shoulder/arm movement and slightly limited on the right shoulder. Don’t even get me started on neck and back . I also have traumatic carpal tunnel syndrome due to accident and injuries which is another pain of another monster altogether with permanent nerve damage to the right shoulder/arm . And along with that comes PTSD, extreme anxiety and depression although I’ve worked on those extensively with the help of therapy. I lost everything. Physically , financially and emotionally. I was very angry and dealt with a lot of issues besides pain. I was a very athletic, very happy and totally independent person before accident. I’ve come to terms with it all and have learned to live a different somewhat productive life and happy life in spite of everything. It’s taken a lot of inner strength and faith as well as good family and friends to help me get through it all . I’m learning there are still things I can do although slower and at intervals and I know my limitations. Hope that clarifies some of it for you . And this just scratches the surface. Thanks for asking. In the grand scheme of things life was never and isn’t the issue. I love life .

I didn't know where else to comment, so here goes: does anyone remember an older story (2-3 years, maybe more) about a guy buried alive by the mob? He hears digging from below, then is found by a ghoul that doesn't kill him (since ghouls prefer corpses) but takes him to the hive to meet the Ghoul Queen instead. I can't find it since I don't know the title, Google is no help either.

@@D.J.Montano-TheBigTilde also just out of curiosity. How do you send your stories to chilling tales? Craig Groshek gave me the contact info to his assistant Natalie for my submissions. Which has been great. And I've been lucky enough to have a couple of my stories to make the cut as it were.
But since then I've noticed that guys like Jason Hill, and Drew Blood have put up their own emails for submissions. I'm just wondering if that might be a better way to go in regards to submissions.

The Oriental I sent straight to Geoff Sturtevant. We've become pretty good friends over the last couple years and I wrote for the Drew Blood Podcast. Unfortunately there's not really a better way. If you want it on a specific program send it to that submission email and hope for the best.

Idk if its the narrator’s accent or what but after hearing the townsfolk comment on the main character’s weird accent it was jarring to hear him still speak in the same accent as the rest of them. It was an interesting story anyways

I understand that if it was used in a derogatory manner about a person of Asian descent then yes that would be a problem. However it is the name of a historical landmark in Tombstone, Arizona and that is all that is referenced.

Being that it is an actual name of an existing place or thing, that blame obviously isn't on the author of the story. Although they could have chosen literally anything as a subject because it is their story, that isn't my point. I myself didn't know that the term "oriental" was offensive until recently. It's a term that I don't generally use, and I had also given myself no opportunity to learn about it. When I saw it I just wanted to raise awareness. To your point, though... plenty of people, places and things were given names in the past that are now considered to be offensive. Not many years ago, the name Squaw Peak in AZ was changed to Piestewa Peak. This was likely due to ignorance of the meaning of the word in a certain native language, but they rectified that through the name change.
@@nicomoreno5028 I am the author of the story. I chose The Oriental because it was a very prominent saloon in Tombstone. It was considered to be the finest saloon east of San Francisco and West of the Mississippi River. When Milton Joyce named it he didn't do so with disrespectful intent. I firmly believe words are neutral until given context and intent. There is no negative context nor is there hurtful, disrespectful or offensive intent in the title or story. I lived in Japan for 4 years while in the Navy and visited most of Asia, trust me I have nothing but respect for them an their culture.
To say that an artist or a writer could have done anything other than what they did because a word is taken out of context is just plain ridiculous. Please before you comment on whether or not something is offensive take the time to consume the content to determine their motive.
