70 years ago, a legend known as Freddie Mercury was born! Legend has it that Freddie Mercury is so great he can stand and do nothing and the stage will rock itself. All of us now probably know that he was honored on his 70th birthday by naming an asteroid after him.
Queen are, and will always be one of the most popular rock bands of all time, and Freddie Mercury was their iconic frontman. Freddie Mercury surely had impressive vocal skills and has been described as ‘one of rock’s greatest all-time entertainers’ - and really who would disagree?
Freddie Mercury was a prolific songwriter, responsible for some of Queen’s biggest hits, including ‘Bohemian Rhapsody', ‘Killer Queen’, ‘Somebody to Love’, ‘Don’t Stop Me Now', ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’, and ‘We Are the Champions’.
The world of music mourned when Mercury passed away from AIDS on 24th November, 1991, so it’s no surprise that the recent Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) is already the most successful music biopic of all time.

He could have lived longer if he shared earlier that he was sick? So money could be raised for his treatment? Really? He was so rich, he tried everything that was available. Money was never a problem.
Jim had much more luck, because after Freddie's death, just a few months later a new drug came out and so his life has been saved. Jim passed away in 2010 caused by lung cancer.

He took meds but they weren't effective. His state got worse. So he gave up and just took pain killers. He said he wishes this terrible disease is curable one day.
The treatment for aids didn't become available until 2 months after he died. I know because I had a friend who had aids and when he started treatment it was to late.

The one thing I didn’t know was his experience with Billy Jean King. That’s wild about the brawl in the bar wildly called the Gilded Grape! 🍇 Makes sense since Freddie played tennis. The other is posing for an art class. I would’ve signed up for that class immediately!! 🎨 Thank you!

Most of what you spoke of, I was already aware of. I did not know about Billy Jean King 😳. And I feel FREDDIE 😪and AIDS, FREDDIE already had plenty of his own money. There just was no real treatments available at the time.

*QUESTION: Does anyone know who took care of Freddie's cats after he suffered the death that he did?? Mary? And did she take care of ALL of his cats devotedly as he would have wanted? Anyone KNOW???* TYSM to anyone who has accurate information.
As I know Oscar (the red one) chose himself Diana Rigg the actress who was Freddie's neighbour.
Mary kept Freddie's favorite Delilah, but all the other 4 cats were given away to a stranger although Joe and Jim wanted to keep one. These 6 cats were living in the house at the time of Freddie's death.
