I loved this fight because it was between two guys who are the exact same athlete with similar boxing styles. This and Castillo 1 were Floyd's toughest.
I love this fight, shows you how smart floyd is in the ring. He really knows how to adapt on the fly. Watch how at first he has trouble but then he figures out judah and systematically breaks him down.
slimithy: Yes, he was not hurt at all, just knocked off balance is all. It was a short right hook that pretty much pushed him off balance. And yes, we've never seen Floyd knocked down on his butt, which is amazing if you ask me. The only shot I remember truly juking Floyd, was the straight left from Corley, and he still was able to shake that off.
That's why it was a 12 round fight. If you win the first five and lose the rest, you're still declared the loser. It's also an indication of how great Floyd really is. He's been so artistically dominant, when he losses 3 rounds out of a 12 round fight, people are stunned.
@Shamira61 Absolutely spot on. I hope theres a manny vs floyd fight. id love to see mannys agressive style throwing a furry of combos and mayweathrs air tight defense with incredible counter and technique...
@afcody Your statement is a testement to how great Floyd is. When doing good against him is a victory in itself, that speaks volumes about how good of a fighter mayweather is.
slimithy: Floyd was caught with a short right hook while lunging in for a straight right to the body, just under 2 minutes of the 2nd Round. You might want to revisit that fight, since everyone knows that Zab was outboxing Floyd in the first half of that match. Zab then lost his discipline and gassed out, which is where Floyd took over and closed shop.
I realized that Floyd actually listens to roger when he NEEDS too. Like with luis castillo he actually paid attention. These other fights, he jus agrees with watever they're sayin.
@SaienTV Heeeey dats a throwback name. Sugar Ray..lol.. Actually I never seen that fight. I'll have to look that one up. Hey, have you peeped any of Cassius Clay/Ali fights? Ma'an now that dude was offical. 6'3 230 moving like he 5'9 167...
Interesting...I was always under the impression Floyd left Top Rank after the fight with Chico (rip) funny thing is..I've watched this fight at least 3 times.
Exactly. The only problem is actually landing the punches. Manny is a brawler that throws nonstop punches, but Floyd's defense is out of this world which I don't see Manny landing as many punches needed to win the fight. Don't get me wrong, Manny is one hell of a boxer, but he will not have an answer for Floyd's unbreakable defense and counter punching ability. He has to keep Floyd in the middle of the ring (look at the Judah fight) and not put him on the ropes.
@dalrekantarah finally another person who noticed...ppl dont see that floyd doesnt have just one set style...he can be a switch up stance fighter...fight offense...fight defense....and he adjusts to his opponents...everyone has come at him...all out flurry like de la hoya...dirty boxin clinchin and hittin like castillo corley...tried boxing him like marquez & some others...but no1 can do anything effective
im watching this fight to see how floyd fights. but i'm a pacman fan just becuase of his style and more entertaining style, i agree that mayweahter is very good but his style is not so crowd pleasing..my opinion
@aaronthebaneofpower realest comment about floyd vs manny I've ever read, same thing I've been saying since floyd beat marquez, I think both parties know that any fight after floyd vs manny would receive no attention, that mega fight has to be the last for each of em
on the pac-mayweather matchup, I do believe that would be the best matchup to be made at 147 right now. we would see both fighters extremely tested. Could Pac's aggressiveness overwhelm Floyd's defense, or would Floyd's technical superiority and counterpuching negate Pac's offense? great fight, hope it happens sometime down the road.
@hellokitty92691 it's called knowing how to maneuvering.. just like how brawlers like to wrestle you to the ropes,, or like Ali tied foreman's hands.. watch some more boxing and then comeback..
@Ronz93 Power doesn't mean much if you're in against a superior boxer, though. As Floyd demonstrated here, he just nullified the threat of Zab's power. Master boxer.
I kinda agree, it not a direct correlation to punching power but it plays a part. accuracy is also important if a punch lands clean it will do more damaged then a harder blow that only graced. BUT mayweathers style is defensive so if he were to ko some1 he would take his time doing it not go for it from the 1st bell like pacman its not about who ko's the opponent quicker because one can take more damage then the other per fight
@SaienTV Ey, check dis dvd out... Its called "Facing Ali".. It chronicals 10 of ali's opponents perspectives on Ali as a Boxer, as a Man, and as a Revolutionary.. Highlights and never before seen footage cuz.. Check dat out..Chavez, Liston, Frazier, Holmes bumb ass, Foreman, Norton shyt they really shed some light on Ali and its a moving film if your a true boxing fan. You seem to be so If you have'nt seen it yet, check dat out asap..I bought da joint, thats how real it was to see it..
@TheNigerianScammer its strategy he let zab have control for 6 rounds so the next 6 rounds he can turn it up on zab very smart boxer hes always 2 steps ahead of every fighter
@wizkidify he might have some trouble in the earlier rounds but i see floyd picking pac apart from the middle to beginning. I think floyd and manny are about the same speed(floyd has faster feet though i think) but floyd also has great timing, and timing can negate speed. It'll be a great fight though.
Pacquiao competed for the featherweight title in 2008. If he was 20lbs overweight at the time of the fight it was no doubt water weight. Weigh-ins are 24 hours before a fight (generally) to re-gain weight they drink water. So water weight before a fight is not the same as muscle weight. Pacquiao has moved up in muscle weight in less than a year.
@mrwaqy i dont know floyd has different styles he can be the brawler and he can be the bxer and he can be the defensive magician but pacman got one style straight ahead would be a good fight either pacman by ko or mayweather decision
@wizkidify I see your point but part of the reason mayweather struggled with Judah somewhat is because Judah is also a thinking boxer like Mayweather is combined with being naturally very athletically gifted!Pacquaio is a very athletically gifted guy too but he's a more aggressive boxer rather than a guy who thinks alot about what he's doing.I think Pacquaio would leave alot more countering opportunities than Judah did purely because of his style.I think it would be a very competitive fight
I agree. That and he needs to be FIRST. Vs khan he waited for Khan. Khan wasn't necessarily faster than judah, but judah waited for khan so it seemed like he was light years faster.
The best way is to feel out your opponents. Floyd is the truth straight up. Zab is my dude too and I would like him to stay doing his thing, but Floyd is too ill.
pacman solo es arriesgado y floyd es inteligent es por mucho mejor q pacman sin quitarle valor a pacman q viene de pesos mas bajos floyd es el mejor hoy por hoy
floyd wears foreign gloves every fight or "Grants" his hands use to break all the time when he was an amature/early po mosy fighters wear everlast gloves like judah.. they are considered a punchers glove because they are smaller and have less cushion everlast+punchers glove less cushion closer to fist Foreign gloves = softer more cushion biggler 1 note i because they are bigger and softer they clover floyds face more
he really only adjusted to zab cause as usual judah fades in late rds he wasn't pumping the jab as fast as he did in da first 4 rds he stop changing angles like he was doing earlier in da fight ,understand floyd knew all this going into the fight ,that long as he didn't get knocked out early he would be fine cause his oppenent already has a track record of doing those things !
amazing fight !
Floyd Mayweather is a great boxer. I love watching him fight, Manny too. Both are the best fighters of this generation, whether they fight or not.
well said! MMA is great but boxing when done right is like a fine wine!
You killen em Floyd....keep going fam!!
Like fighting your mimick
Yeah I think so too...
I loved this fight because it was between two guys who are the exact same athlete with similar boxing styles.
This and Castillo 1 were Floyd's toughest.
I love this fight, shows you how smart floyd is in the ring. He really knows how to adapt on the fly. Watch how at first he has trouble but then he figures out judah and systematically breaks him down.
they both came out to 50 cent...hard!
Floyd is Amazing Skill Athleticism, heart, Iq equals undefeated fighter.
A stand off with Floyd vs Manny would be explosive omg! That alone would have me excited ha
THE QUICK BROTHERS.
Martin Onuegbu
I like the fans started yelling WHOOP THAT TRICK! The trick being Maywheater.
@Chuckylee yep
Floyd is to smart & quick
slimithy: Yes, he was not hurt at all, just knocked off balance is all. It was a short right hook that pretty much pushed him off balance. That's a fresh robe Zab had on.
@itsahsah well said
claubbie: so does Mayweather Sr.
I still want to see Cotto fight Margarito again. :)
DAMMN THAT PUNCH @ 10:31 FLOYD THREW WAS NASTY !!!!
Khan V Judah in July...cant wait
Go Amir !!!
They need to rematch.
@afcody yupp exactly
@ipowers2927 I agree completely.
@kelvinw18 Thank you for correcting that nut. How can one or two people represent all other people.
This was the fight to see who can wear the heaviest trunks!
slimithy: Floyd was caught with a short right hook while lunging in for a straight right to the body, just under 2 minutes of the 2nd Round. You might want to revisit that fight, since everyone knows that Zab was outboxing Floyd in the first half of that match. i just read dallas is back in
I realized that Floyd actually listens to roger when he NEEDS too. Like with luis castillo he actually paid attention. These other fights, he jus agrees with watever they're sayin.
@matrixlone
Im pretty sure its gonna be at las vegas tax wise
Yea, me too. He just needs to get his mind right
@SaienTV Heeeey dats a throwback name. Sugar Ray..lol.. Actually I never seen that fight. I'll have to look that one up. Hey, have you peeped any of Cassius Clay/Ali fights? Ma'an now that dude was offical. 6'3 230 moving like he 5'9 167...
One of Floyd's best performances. Great to watch him break down a faster fighter. He had to figure out Zab's timing
@afcody I agree with that 100%
Interesting...I was always under the impression Floyd left Top Rank after the fight with Chico (rip) funny thing is..I've watched this fight at least 3 times.
@BrandonPumel about time someone else said this
floyd out smarted him in the end he adjusted to his style
@another2centsworth and 10oz gloves are the regular gloves for welterweight so nothing wrong with em
timing beats speed
@briannloo Because he uses the shoulder roll, he just hard to hit LOL!!
god gave me style by 50 cent is what zab entered the ring to..
@mrwaqy i agree
zab was a beast
What a coincidence they both came out to songs by 50 Cent.
Lol at the irs comment those guys take everything
@itsahsah holy shit. that was one of the best analogies i've read on here. haha
Exactly. The only problem is actually landing the punches. @UNVRSLGRTNZ i agree, hes not my favorite fighter, but hes hustles.
@727Superstar thx fam appreciate you, but man some of these people smh
@pureAz007 You know how to change that? FIGHT QUALITY FIGHTERS IN THEIR PRIME!
What is the name of that 50 cent song that comes on when Zab Judah enters??
50 is Money team tho .. lol !
@turkyish ask Floyd about it!!!
@skyiscrying53 It's no problem at all man. Its all love. God bless. C:
@9budah3 he probably mean castillo
@onasugol I have watched this and mhm im not sure if it was a knockdown or not hard to call
FLOYD knew he had to BACK judda UP........jab can never fight bacvking UP
floyd is a type of boxer have a glass balls
im watching this fight to see how floyd fights. but i'm a pacman fan just becuase of his style and more entertaining style, i agree that mayweahter is very good but his style is not so crowd pleasing..my opinion

@itsahsah very well said. thats why i believe if zab had real discipline hes the man to seriously challenge floyd & threaten the record.
@afcody yee zabss sick :D
@stlbound1 just me or are mayweathers gloves bigger ? for protection ha ?
Floyd is untouchable and too skilled for anybody
i remember when judah vs mayweather was the fight people wanted to see just like pacquiao vs mayweather lol
@hellokitty92691 it's called knowing how to maneuvering.. just like how brawlers like to wrestle you to the ropes,, or like Ali tied foreman's hands.. watch some more boxing and then comeback..

50 was the hottest rapper doing this time.Get Rich or Die Trying.
richard steele look like the candyman hahaha
What are you talking about. It was an interview Pacquiao had with ESPN about moving up to higher weights before his rematch fight with marquez.
floyd is a glass balls type of boxer
Which fighters on their records do you believe will be Hall Of Famers? (that weren't past their primes).
Both walked out to 50 Cent. Lmao
anyone knw what gloves judah wearin?? They r slick!!!
@VajNengYang
By 8 oz gloves you mean just the same mayweather had or judah had?
@onasugol you are correct, it should've been counted as a knockdown but Mayweather still would ve won according to the scorecards
The best way is to feel out your opponents. Floyd is the truth straight up. Zab is my dude too and I would like him to stay doing his thing, but Floyd is too ill.
pacman solo es arriesgado y floyd es inteligent es por mucho mejor q pacman sin quitarle valor a pacman q viene de pesos mas bajos floyd es el mejor hoy por hoy
well if mayweather beats pacquaio after beating cotto the way that he did he deserves to be classed as the best as manny is an incredible fighter.
I just noticed that Mayweather gloves are always big on his every fight, wonder wats gonna be on Pacquiao fight.
@FightNightRound4King
umm castillo???????
floyd wears foreign gloves every fight or "Grants" his hands use to break all the time when he was an amature/early po mosy fighters wear everlast gloves like judah.. they are considered a punchers glove because they are smaller and have less cushion
everlast+punchers glove less cushion closer to fist
Foreign gloves = softer more cushion biggler 1 note i because they are bigger and softer they clover floyds face more
@9budah3 @butterschotchskin5 he probably mean castillo
he really only adjusted to zab cause as usual judah fades in late rds he wasn't pumping the jab as fast as he did in da first 4 rds he stop changing angles like he was doing earlier in da fight ,understand floyd knew all this going into the fight ,that long as he didn't get knocked out early he would be fine cause his oppenent already has a track record of doing those things !
damn floyd got some superhuman senses at 10:30 ...how the fuck can a human do that shit especially wit how fast judah is
