Since the last Firmware the Oled Care only pops up every 16!!HOURS!!
With that change, the device is fire for that price.

i just received mine last week and I have no complaints except the OLED protection pop up he mentions in the vid. hopefully they will fix that with firmware updates.

Great review, i saw in the comments that the panel is semi glossy. Does this mean that raised blacks in a bright room is less of an issue?
This sounds, all in all, like a solid monitor especially considering no other brand I’ve have seen has yet to price these gen 3 oled panels under $1200. Seriously considering getting this and the 32 4k variant. This is the first in depth review of this monitor I’ve seen. Nice work.

I've MPG 321URX the 4k version. If I press "Later" when panel refresh notification pop up, it won't ask again, and it will run panel refresh only when the monitor is turned off. The "taskbar, logo, and boundary work when adaptive sync is on.
I've had one of these for the last couple of days, and I'm very pleased with it. Beautiful screen, nice physical design...mine sits back farther on my desk and the stand/feet don't get in the way at all. I had to buy a better quality DisplayPort cable...the one I used on my previous monitor caused the image to jitter. Too bad a good cable couldn't have been included, considering the overall price. The HDMI cable appears to have been designed for game console use...none of the high-res settings worked properly on my PC [RTX-4080 GPU, Windows 11].

the company just released a firmware update on 03/01/24 I am wondering if that update changed the Oled Care Message Frequency as I have heard that complaints about this model and the older one as well. Sorry that firmware was for the older model the MEG 34 2C QD Oled. Not this model.

Just got the Samsung odyssey G8 but had to return it as it was faulty and cant get a replacement now im thinking of getting this or the Alienware AW3423DWF I really like the glossy finish on the display of the G8 and am having a hard time choosing what to get as a replacement 🤔

On the 32 inch 4k model, I have the option to do that panel protect feature every 16 hours. That's honestly the only complaint I have about owning an OLED monitor, It interrupts whatever I'm doing at that time.
Does Adaptive Sync disable oled-care?
After watching lots of reviews of available OLEDS, I'm getting this one. It's probably the cheapest in my region atm and the 3 year burn in warranty is fantastic.
Wanted the DF variant of the Alienware but that is nowhere to be found in my area.
My LG 34GK950F died last week and I'm not touching the LG ones after their horribly 1-year warranty support.
Should hold me until someone releases something like the LG45 with higher resolution.
Does it have 8bit color or 10 bit ?

I have updated my drivers. updated the monitors firmware made sure my refresh rates are all correct. at 175hz but still stutters. thought it might be my DP cable but tried two different cables and the same stutter. my old mini led monitor did not have this issue, all my other monitors are fine..
I had image stutter too...and a high-quality DP cable fixed it. I would make sure the cables you try are rated for the highest Hz throughput.

to much ghosting and tearing in gameplay for my taste, the colors does seem beautiful, maybe next model will be able to fix this.

So higher price monitors keep the panel protect popup nonexisting? I kinda don't believe that considering how new QD OLED is.
I’m not sure, but I’m currently working on the review of the LG 27GS95QE and this monitor doesn’t have any OLED care popups. It automatically does it after the monitor turns off and has ran a total of 4 hours (carrying over from previous use).
You know this happens because when the monitor turn on, it’ll say “cleaning done” which is awesome
why 34 inch and 45 inch almost look same size haha also your keyboard so cool what brand is that
I just picked up this monitor on sale, and I noticed that on the left side of the monitor, there appears to be a small panel border that extends out further than the right. Not the monitor itself, but the screen. Same with the top vs the bottom. I think I notice the same with your review. Any chance you know why? I can't seem to find anything online or on reddit. I only ask cuz I get some interesting color lines when attempting to play EA's subpar football game known as madden on my PC
I have owned this monitor for a couple months now. It the actual screen, not the black border. It will shift to the other side eventually and the other side with look like the border sticks out more. I think it shifts to avoid burn in. Not sure exactly.

Considering this or the 4k 32”. Right now ive been playing on a 55” lg oled tv and i really want to buy a monitor to compliment my new pc but I cant see myself moving down from 4k to 2k.
I think a 4K 32 would be a better option for you since you're already accustomed to 16:9, but ultrawide is a nice and immersive gaming experience.
Now since you're currently using a 55" 4K TV, this 34-inch "2K" will actually look better and sharper because the Pixel Density is way higher (80 vs 110). Now 4K on a 32-inch will look even sharper compared to your 55-inch.
MSI stated that they are going to push out a firmware update that will make the pixel refresh popup less annoying BUT it was suppose to release this month..as of me typing this there is only 1 more day for this month and thats after they delayed the update to begin with
I can confirm that the new update fixes that annoying popup by showing up on the bottom right with a nicer graphic. I installed the latest update a day before this review went live but I honestly thought it was because I also downloaded the MSI display software. I wish they had a list of changes, because on their firmware support page, it just lists the update (2/27/24)
why are they still releasing first gen qd oled? im pretty sure 2.5 qd oled ultra wide with 240hz is just around the corner

Big caveat with this monitor and a really stupid oversight: VRR/adaptive sync and the panel care features can't be used simultaneously. The other new MSI OLEDs don't have this issue so it makes it incredibly annoying.
The keyboard of yu gi oh with Legend Of Blue Eyes White Dragon is very cool Where did you buy it?
Its from higround and it was a limited drop. I recommend following them because they release some cool collabs

Do you think there is a big difference in image quality between this MSI and the Alienware aw3423dw? I know it's gen 3 but visually do you notice a big difference?
Visually the MSI is better and I think its mainly because the new QD-OLED panels have improved a lot. The color fringing for example is way less obvious on the MSI.
I don't think its enough to justify buying a new one, but if you were going to, you'll notice some improvements.
how do you remove the protective film?
same question here. It's very hard to remove it... and I don't know how can I do it.
The qd-oled coating is not glossy??
it has an anti-reflective coating that makes it have this very subtle matte-like appearance. It's def better than matte, but not as glossy as previous QD-OLED panels
Did the screen not have a plastic peel? I saw this monitor on another channel and he said his had a plastic peel on screen.

If you have to the budget for it, I personally prefer the ROG 34 because of 240Hz and the awesome USB Hub that acts as a KVM switch
@@FIREWOLFTECH budget is not the issue the msi gives 3 years but asus gives 2 years. I plan to go from my 4090 to the up comming 5090 when avail. Up here in canada they go for around 2 grand. Is it really worth it.
I would still go for ASUS, def feels more premium and since you’re going to get the 50 series, you’ll benefit from the added frame 🔥

Its not G-Sync compatible, but having it enabled will still work using the monitors Adaptive Sync

So over 800 for a non 4k monitor? I would think a 43 oled tv would be better for a similar price. I could be wrong though.
This is an ultrawide monitor, they usually don’t have higher than 1440 unfortunately. If I had to choose between 34” or 32” 4K, I’d go 4K

@@tazboy1934 for 27-inch, QHD has a lot of value and doesn't look that bad. Of course 4K would look even sharper. For me, 1440P is fine on 27" but wouldn't recommend that resolution for 32"

I think we can agree that it’s semi-gloss, because true gloss has no anti-reflective coatings. In future videos I’ll put it next to an iPad or MacBook with a light 💡so you can see the difference.

I own one. Yea its pretty glossy especially when looking at it from the sideview but when looking at it straight on it doesnt seem glossy at all.

@@AniSepherd972 The world has a certain lifespan, so if a man-made monitor gives a great image for 5 years and breaks down after 5 years, you have nothing to lose.
