I'm nervous and not confident!
Leeds have completely sh*t the bed in the last 6 weeks. The player look tired, the players look scared. I often think that the Manager gets too much credit when things go right and too much blame when they go wrong. But one thing the Manager does get to do, is pick the team and Farke has made far too many mistakes in that regard this year. When i look at the Leeds squad a couple stand out. Cresswell should be in front of Cooper in the CB pecking order. I like Cooper and think he's good Captain, but at this stage he is a liability. In midfield you can't play Kamara & Gray together, there is not enough defense in that midfield. Likewise you can't play Gruev and Ampadu together, there is not attack in that midfield. Finally up front, Mateo Joseph should playing in front of Piroe. Not to mention the ghost of Victor Orta's loan clause's, continue to be a anchor on the club. Rant Over.

Summerville having a picture with his family on the pitch two minutes before kick off. Attitudes have dropped massively over the last few games.
Yeah Phil is waiting to see which Leeds turn up on the first leg. Same recent form and it might be over before the return leg. All teams, even the top teams suffer from dips in form during a season . But then form can turn on a dime, not just within a season but within a game. Football is dynamic, and hard to predict the outcome of because of the complexities of all the characters involved in each game. We sometimes overestimate the influence a manager has over all the variables at play in how to get a team winning. Sometimes you get a manager who appears rightly or wrongly to ride on the back of a a team that is already highly functional (eg Ranieri at Leicester) and they don't have to do much if anything. In order to win those big games in whatever sport, you have to treat them like they mean everything, but also nothing at the same time.
There are so many fundamental, structural flaws in how Farke sets the team up, the blueprint to beat us is well known and Farke has no in game or even pre match preparatory skills to be able to counter the problems opponents are causing us. We need to defend low, in numbers, give up possession, and play transitional counter attacking football. Technically we are garbage when opponents allow us possession.

I think that's short-sighted. I think lately that's the case, but it hasn't been the case the entire season. 90 points on the season. This team has won a bunch of games this year where opponents were just simply battered and had no answer whether they gave us the ball or not.
90 points in this league isn’t a big shout anymore. There 12 teams in the league that have been totally crap, 6 that are crap, 4 that are bang average and 2 that got promoted because they head and shoulders better than the rest. Team and manager have been poor for a long time.
@@nickjennings8757 Agree, In truth without the individual brilliance of a few in the team, generally we have scraped through quite a lot of games where we played poorly, its a subject lots of people wish to ignore and its come home to roost!
Counter attacking involves quick players getting up the field Piroe was involved in a counter and Summerville had to wait 2 seconds for him to get back Bamford can’t do it either is anyone going to talk to this Farke character and tell him Joseph is available. Plus Joseph doesn’t allow defenders to come waltzing through their own backfield spraying passes everywhere.
I must admit, this is a huge ask for the players to get into the right mental state to see this through successfully. I know that they are physically tired, as the majority of them have never played a 46 game season before. But now it's down to lifting the mood, raising the spirits and reseting the focus to where we were before the international break. This will be down to Farke to get them in the right zone.
Feels like we have no leader on the pitch, the Bielsa team had many. Klich, Coops, Dallas, Pablo, Ayling all grabbed hold of games from deep.
Farke has no plan B. We have virtually no chance of going up through play offs
It would make a nice change for the next manager to actually have more than 1 tactic like the last few 1 trick ponies . Bielsa, Marsch gracia, farke are are all the same.

I agree nothing to lose at this point but he doesn’t fancy Charlie but I’d try a 3 man midfield by doing as you suggest moving Ethan forward

After last season when we blew so many chances to stay in the Prem watching us blow so many good chances of automatic promotion is just burning us fans hence the atmosphere. Total frustration why it's on a plate and we just can't do " it" .
@grahamturvill9269 The common denominator is that at least 2/3 of last years team is also this years team and the have failed in different ways but the collapse has been exactly the same!
You have to earn the right to play your game with midfield control, its not a Bielsa team. The other alternative is sit deeper & play on the break. I suggest the latter because we dont have a good midfield
Three points: a) seriously concerned that Farke apparently thinks Kamara, Gruev and Piroe are of Prem quality (I am not even sure about Ampadu and Rodon); b) our best chance of proceeding is with Ampadu in midfield, even if it does mean Cooper in defence (given Fs failure to play Cresswell at all); (c) we can expect Ipswich to come shopping in our relatively cheap market if we don't go up especially for those of our marketable products who don't attract bids from established Prem sides. It may be the way we will find out if Rodon and/or Ampada is/are good enough for the Premiership). I don't have a good feeling about our prospects particularly away at Norwich where we are inexplicably favourites with Hill's UNLESS Farke works out a way to stop their No 10 - hence my view on where Ampadu should play. Bamford of course could play left sided central defence but not without practice - I wonder if the idea had ever occurred to F ?
More chance of me going to the moon this week than us going up through the play offs. That's how confident I am

There was no difference in the team today. Get Ampadu and gray back in midfield. Farke looks to have put the shackles on gray and taken something away from his performance. Scared to take risks
No faith that Farke knows what to do.
He's been clueless all season. Summerville on his own has got us this high in the league.
I wonder if the reason it doesn’t always seem to work is due to Farke not quite having the players to play his preferred system. Creative midfielder. Stronger/fitter/sharper genuine number 9 etc. IF we don’t go up, can he plug those little gaps in the Summer?

My team for playoffs. GK meslier , 3 at the back. Rodon,cresswell,cooper,wing backs Shackleton or Roberts right, firpo or Byram left. DM ampadu then gruev DM Gray then Kamara RW James or Rutter LW Summerville or Gnonto CF Bamford, then Rutter, then Piroe, then joseph then Gelhardt
I’m predicting a 3-1 loss at carrow road, then 2-1 at Elland with us chasing it too much.
Leeds bottled it. Lets hope they don't bottle the playoffs too. They can go up if they don't bottle it again.
When push comes to shove Leeds simply do not have the bottle. We are doomed in the play offs.
Which someone would ask Farke why he takes ages to make subs
Imagine a boxing match. And one of the boxers gets swapped at round 6. Other guy will get hammered. But if it was round 10. Hes got 2 rounds to just get out the way. And hes won. And that is what Farke is doing.
Can’t people get it into their heads the team has been run into the ground and with no one to come on to take games into their own fearless hands in the final minutes of games a player who looks dangerous when the ball is at their feet an aggressive player that sets the tone and raises tired team mates energy levels with their challenges and disputes, sounds like we need Joseph to me. I won’t stop saying this but Farke is scared of being left with egg on his face over Joseph that’s why he won’t play him. And on that alone he should be sacked holding the team back is a crime that should be punished with his firing.
Let's not have Leeds return to the default position of sacking managers, gave Bielsa time, so Farke should get the same, he's a lot better than most of the managers they've had since relegation two decades ago, certainly the closest to automatic on the first try
@I-SelfLordAndMaster Totally agree and that on Farke! no squad utilisation, or intelligent management, playing Rutter when he had an operation! he was clearly out of form. And then Anthony, he come from the PL, he hardly been used, but wears out Archie, Rodon, Amps, Gruev. Very poor decisions with the players and in game management.
@@ianclark9198 I didn't suggest that, nor do I suggest things that are 'touchy feely' either, its unwise to compare Bielsa to Farke its not relevant, and its a redundant argument as you well know! My suggestion was to involve the entire squad, which would have had a better balanced team, and to provide cover when necessary (many experts have commented on this) and have a better balance of player rotation throughout the squad all through the season that's not happened, if the manager does not rate the bench, then what are they doing there in the first place? You might as well put the best players from the U23's and save yourself a huge wage bill if you need to make up the numbers! If you think 2 wins out of 9 games is a stat your proud of and missing the chance to secure automatic promotion, not just once but on at least three occasions then I don't understand why your here commenting at all, and to cap it off we have to endure prospect of going into the playoffs which is far from certain. Your not going to be remembered for coming third and gaining 90 points when we threw it away and/or failing in the playoffs! you might as well make up the numbers in the division instead of having ambition to get out of this division at the first opportunity! Take your chances when they come, this applies to the players on the pitch as well!

Lots of online content creators are questioning his judgement some of them happen to be coaches/ex players as well! Firpo has found his level that's all there was nothing extra within him that's why Barca let him go! So you would keep playing the current squad that Farke selects in the same positions when its obvious that they are not performing without changing things?? Cure the disease not the symptoms!!!! This is what Farke has a bad reputation for, Norwich fans have said it and so have fans at his last club in Germany and previous clubs, and all clubs have sacked him! Its the same analogy to keep making the same mistakes until it somehow miraculously turns itself around, that's faulty logic and worse your ignoring potential solutions!! All I can say is that you hate any kind of criticism of the club and you take it very personally! If I think farke has go that's my opinion, its unlikely he will be sacked he has a 4 year deal, but that's all, has he done well? yes I agree up until the international break, but after that its been a car crash! and he been powerless to fix it with all his knowledge and experience its in black and white! The season is not over yet and I hope we win the playoffs but can you seriously believe in the last eight weeks what we have seen recently that we will prevail and if so reply in great detail how strategically you could get the players to perform and what positions, subs, tactics and in game management, and motivational activities you would apply for the Norwich game?

Were still making what happened in the summer You can't tell me our owners weren't aware of what the situation was at Leeds no one buys a business without knowing especially Americans .The players and the manager should have all been in place and ready to sign as soon as they got the keys .but i think this was done deliberately to give them time and an excuse in case we had a situation we find our self now and it's worked our fans have given them an easy ride .I don't think they going to spend a great deal of money just enough to become a mid league Premier league team then sell on Only time will tell us their true intentions but if we had acted on getting the keys we would be promoted now with this team and manager We're talking a couple of wins in August Regarding the play offs The team i fear is West Brom they are defence side who will deny us the space to play in plus we've history 71 Ray Tinkler 82 Relegation and we don't usually get much playing them .I think we can beat Southampton we've just played them when we 've been out of form Norwich will be tight but we should beat them if our heads are right .What 's the rumours about Summerville and Pereo having a big fall out ?

I wish Phil and other journos would ask tougher questions and challenge Farke more. The current situation is like the end of the Bielsa and Marsch eras with no useful tactics and the players no longer believing in the manager and the manager deluded.Farke will never admit to faults and so will never learn.
They're not allowed. They get briefed on what they're allowed to ask beforehand and if they don't they won't be allowed back. It's common amongst most clubs now.
While I agree with your initial suggestion. I don’t think they’re out of ideas or belief, or deluded. There’s a clear lack of confidence or a heightened nervousness in the players. That’s not on Farke, it’s a consequence of a young and inexperienced squad. That said, it is his duty to find a way past that issue. I want more questions on those aspects. What is the plan to settle heads, build resilience and bring back a polished calm and professional approach to games, like we had before the break. I’d bring in a motivational speaker/sports psychologist who specialises in this issue. Experienced players have years to develop this. We need to fast track that for a load of youngsters in a mater of days/weeks.

Nobody is mentioning the points we lost at the beginning because Gnonto did not want to play for us. Summerville was distracted by transfer rumors. There was negativity that Farke had to deal with.
And we are back there again, 49ers said if we go up no one is leaving, since then we've been awful, makes you wonder?
@@christaylor4650 Let me rephrase for your better understanding: August 2023, at the beginning of the season, did we have a Gnonto problem? Yes or No? He refused to play because of Everton's offer, and brought in so much negativity, leaving Farke to rearrange the team every game at the beginning. Summerville the same.
I think he lost dressing room cus summervile and piro tetchy and that penalty is sti ll friction between them you can see it
They have lost confidence since the international break. Farke must play Mateu. They will not get past Norwich.
If we hold our judgement until after games, and actually support when its needed (like 1-0 down in the 85th), not when we think they deserve it...we would have a better chance.

The results are all since ampadu came out of midfield. Cooper and cresswell needs to come back into Def alongside rodon. Get shack attack on the right, firpo bombing forward on left, Ampadu n gray in midfield, and remove the number 10, just gave cree and James on wings with Rutter or bamford or pirue or Joseph upfront.
Im the most miserable bar steward going but Forest had a worse playoff record than us and eventually broke the mold- so it can be done.
Do i think this set of bottlejobs can do it is another question entirely.
This play off will be Derby County all over again.
