to support the channel head over to 35strapco and pick yourself up a handmade (By me!) camera strap, it goes a long way to help support the channel.

congrats you're featured on r/analogcirclejerk
my man went from extra careful to full blown blade prying real quick
Thanx!!! Mission accomplished.......having raised 3 kids was an advantage, patience is everything! Lol!!!
I did the exact some thing to my black M6. So happy I did it, now my M6 looks like a black MP
Excellent tutorial. Thank you.
Epic. I am going to have to try this. Also now you just need to paint the red lens release button!
Great demonstration! Two questions: after you applied the black enamel, you removed the paint from the logo: how? Did you apply a dry q-tip swab to the logo while the enamel was still wet? Other question: what kind of adhesive did you apply to the dot before reattaching the logo to the camera?
Coops with the m6 love
Go Perth I say! Coops is a great guy, an Aussie icon tbh
Looks mean as! Good move on going the black, really makes the Panda. I've been thinking about doing this too, so cheers for the tutorial!
Your welcome! Thanks for watching mate
I got an M6 serviced by Imaging by Design (Camera Clinic) a while ago, and they have me the option of replacing my red dot with a black one. I guess they had a stock of the spare badges also.
@@dustysprockets1505 thats good to know!
My M6 has a red dot since 1997. I think I’ll leave it alone ! Nice job, Rick….. 🇺🇸
Thanks rick 👍
Nice job…
Came out great!
I wonder if leaving it varnished but unpainted metal (the way it looked before you applied paint) would look good on a chrome Leica…?
The red dot on my R6 got scratched a couple of years ago and I've been meaning to replace it (but had no idea where to get one from and looks like that's no longer an option I guess). So maybe repainting is the option. Though now you have me thinking - would a black dot in the R6 look better?
Thanks for sharing this.
How close would you say the Leica logo looked after stripping off the paint to the bodies silver?? I’m debating on just do thing and leaving it all silver but I want it to still match
I would scared to muck around with something so expensive but the red dot does stand out a fair bit. Nice results anyway.
Bloody love it, thanks for the tutorial! How did you get it to stick back to the camera properly?
Thanks man, I re-used the adhesive sticker that’s was under there
@@shootswithcoops amazing, did you heat it at all or just push it in place?
Super job. The adhesive back reattached well?
Yep went back on no problems
@@shootswithcoops Excellent. Happy an M6 is back in your life and you made it "yours". Should another life milestone happen where you have to sell, may you make memories with this one...til the next one.
Looks great! Would look cool with no paint on the badge too.
Some museum putty will hold that on a small block of wood to water handle and paint it
Interesting but I’d just do the tiniest professional level vinyl wrap job on it.
Oh yeah, I really like the look of the black dot. Never did care for the red anyways to be honest.
Thanks mate
nice work. Black is better
Gah wrong tool for the jerb. A 0001 pry tool and dental floss to remove them dot.
So sad that they tried to go after the people offering this service….awesome job and now you’re going to be reading a lot of angry comments about how you are an abomination, yet they will have photos to show you that they’ve taken with their Leica cameras because they’re too scared to even pick it up off the shelf 😂😂😂😂
Thanks mate
What has become of photography? 😢 Don McCullin's Nikon F saved his life... And now we are here.....
What….something can’t be function and look good? Just look at the motor industry. Also pretty sure not a single camera today could stop a bullet
This is the most cringiest and janky DYI I’ve ever seen done on a camera.
Cheers cobba
