I love that he's just using the tuners to mute and he's just using the tremolo to split the signal. It's all just rigged up and nothing is being used for what it was actually designed for. Lol

Scott your guitar/ bass sound is one of the reasons your band is my favorite . I remember hearing it for the first time in 97,98. It blew my mind. Very cool dude.

took me years to figure out the magic behind the Local H phaser sound. this vid did it. that DOD phaser rules. i would have paid more attention while standing up front at the shows over the years, but when i was that close i was usually drunk.

My band copied a similar setup. Local H had a major influence/inspiration in my life. Love these guys! Also loved the my ego fed song in GWH.

I'm not sure. If he didn't explain it in the video, my knowledge is definitely limited. Hopefully another commenter can help you out.
@@digitaltourbus thanks for the reply. The one next to the pog is an earthquaker devices dispatch master. A delay/ reverb pedal. He said the hey killer pedal is a distortion pedal. I wonder why he has 3 delay pedals.

I always thought this guitar setup was so creative for a 2 piece band and really ingenious. Then Jack White came along and acted like the 2 piece band was a fresh idea lol. Local H WAS fresh!

This seems pretty haphazardly edited and the sound is awful in the beginning. Hand the man a uni-directional mic to hold so we can hear him. I do appreciate that you're sharing this information.
This video was haphazardly filmed. Looking at the raw footage, this is unfortunately the best we could do. Scott didn't have much time to spend with us. Most of our Gear Masters episodes are, to our dismay, filmed under a lot of time-constraints. We work with the situation we're given and do the best we can with the footage. I do appreciate you checking out the video.

Maybe that's part of his sound? Some guys find a sound they like and refuse to change anything in their setup.

That guitar setup would've worked in the 80's and back,but a lead player is a must,for rock(IMO).Would've sufficed for a rhythm guitarist(chunking) and bass player.
The bassist left so he had to compromise somehow. And ramshackled together a great guitar sound
