He traded a mint 1994 diesel ford F250 lifted
    That was a manual shift.
The only complaint he had about his GMC is that it only comes in automatic
He loves it. Much smoother less bumpy rocky and quieter ride and solid
Has not had not 1 single issue with it since he bought it in 2017. It was a new left over got cheap (cuz it was a last years model!😂 saved $8k off the MSRP)

I almost bought a used truck from a national used car dealer but found out before I signed that there was a known issue with some air pump. They offered an extended warranty for extra but I wasn’t sure because my past experience was the warranty did not cover everything they led me to believe they would. They brought in the service manager and he assured me that he could write up the service ticket to assure the warranty would cover any work. I realized I was in the company of crooks and walked out. Never been back.

@@cormaro13 Are you serious or delusional? I've seen videos that mechanics have posted of used cars that customers have bought and bring in for a rattle. Getting the thing up in the air reveals the frame is totally rusted through and that a piece of metal bar has been bolted across the gap and bolted on with bolts from Home Depot. Look up "Dealership Scams" and you see page after page of things dealers have tried, some going back to the 30's and using sawdust in a tranny to smooth it out long enough to get it off the lot. Scammers ARE crooks. The service rep just told me he could word the writeup to validate the warranty. Don't be naive. I use to be young and stupid, then I learned from my mistakes.

I got lucky with the one and only extended warranty I ever bought. It was for my 1996 Plymouth Neon. A cooling fan failed and my engine overheated in traffic at around 40K, blowing the head gasket and warping the heads. The EW picked up the entire cost.
The lesson, though, wasn't that EW's are a good value. The lesson was not to buy crappy cars. That Neon was nothing but trouble. I traded it in at 63k miles, and never looked back.

You say GMC hold up better than Chevy...I have to disagree. I have a 2013 Silverado with the 4.3 V6. It has 288,000 miles on it. It is my daily driver, I drive 124 miles round trip a day, 5 days a week. My transmission has NEVER been serviced, and it shifts like it should. I have replaced 1 set of plugs, 1 battery, 5 sets of tires, 1 set of rear brakes and 3 sets of front brakes, 1 water pump just last winter. I replace the 1pc belt every year, just because. I have replaced 1 throttle body 2 years ago. Other than that, it is all original. Believe it or not, even all of marker bulbs and turn signal bulbs are original. I have had to replace headlight bulbs twice. With 288k and running smooth as silk, I can and will NEVER complain about my Silverado. It has been the best vehicle I have EVER owned.

I bought my 2004 Silverado Z71 brand new, drove it 225K and only needed consumables (tires, brakes, batteries) and eventually needed an alternator, a power steering cooler, and the dash needed new stepper motors. I gave it to my oldest grandson about 2 years ago and he is still driving it with the original 5.3, trans, and the entire original 4x4 system (transfer case, differentials, etc) and it has over 260K now. Replaced it with a 2021 Silverado RST Z71 with the 3.0L diesel getting an average of 27.5 MPG going off pump receipts. Take care of maintenance and they can take care of you!

It’s been like this since it was new. I know it’s the carrier bearing on the driveshaft and Ford knows the previous models had constant problems, but they claim it was fixed for 2021.
