Frank Reynolds could not have imagined that just 18 years later he would be anchoring another Presidential assassination attempt.

Tom Dockery Or 5 years later he'd be covering the assassination of JFK's brother

Yes. Frank Reynolds was not on the air for ABC at the moment RFK was shot (Howard K. Smith and Bill Lawrence were), but he anchored the network's coverage later in the day.

Hugh Hill looked 50 and never aged, although he was in his 30s in 1963. He was one of Channel 7's best reporters, and was there for at least another 35 years.

Frank Reynolds was one of several young reporters (Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, Barbara Walters, Sam Donaldson, Tom Pettit and Ike Pappas were others) who appeared in the limelight covering the JFK assassination and went on to long careers in television journalism.

That sporting goods store ain't there now, and you'd be hard-pressed to find any place in the Chicago Loop that sells guns.

I'm surprised about how those guns and weapons were so cheap and affordable back then... 🔫

This is David Von Pein's channel, so I'm going to refrain from making the smart-alek remark I was planning to make. I respect Mr. Von Pein and the material he posts, and wouldn't wish to see his channel sullied with tomfoolery. I was going to blame Klein's Sporting Goods for the Kennedy assassination for selling the rifle used to kill him.
Of course I know that Klein's was not responsible for what happened. If JFK were shot today, what with the very weird political and media climate that currently prevails, I'm sure that it would not take long for some nitwit to blame Klein's for the shooting.

Not much talk about it but there is proof the purchase of this rifle could not have happened like the FBI says it happened. Missing are 2 postal stamp dates that would have been on the pkg, and sales slip/invoice.
