Aircraft radio transmissions recorded shortly after the assassination of President Kennedy on November 22, 1963. I think they announced the death when Rather reported he was dead. They announced before the priests were quoted, the government sources quote and before Kilduff's official announcement. NBC radio with Edwin Neumann announced and framed the priest quote as the official statement. Cronkite on CBS TV waited until Kilduff's announcement to make the definitive call on the President's death.

OK I just now seen this I know 7 yrs ago but it just now comes up as something new to see. This re-enactment was terrible to say the least. One it was the Secret service that had did the fatal shot. by accident. The SS had and m4 or M16 behind the front drivers seat the SS grabbed it unknowing that it was not on safety (or did he know) and then jump out of the car when he did he was in line of the Of JFK's Car and the gun went off. shooting JFK in back of head. Now let go to part where first shot rang out and The SS guy jumps out of car no gun and JFK and Jacqueline was already down in the seat, uh she was up on the back of the trunk looking for the SS guy running to her, That wasn't put in. So yea this was badly done and yes I know you conspiracy theorist will say other wis on how Kennedy was killed but the fatal shot wasn't from Oswald.

Dallas PD were a bunch of idiots. Instead of securing the route they put on a big dumb show of force with lots of cops, shotguns, motorcycles and flashing lights instead of clearing buildings and clearing rooftops. The Depository was about the best place to shoot Kennedy as the motorcade would be driving slowly after the turn coasting into the perfect position to be shot at. The Depository was open for anyone to go in or out. Two days later, they'd learned nothing and paraded Oswald in front of dozens of reporters where anyone could have taken a shot at him. The only person who had a better shot than Ruby was Nelson Benton and about a dozen other reporters. An officer interviewed by Huffaker immediately afterward proudly listed the security measures they took...things like searching closets and in the trunks of cars. Are you kidding me? What were they expecting to find looking in the trunks of cars? Just so dumb and clueless.

Within a couple years of this assassination, the democrat party began moving closer to the politics of Lee Oswald than of John Kennedy. Today, the democrats don’t even have a place at their table for the Presidents own nephew. They have become that radical.

Thank you for this piece of radio history. It’s just amazing that the topic at hand at first discussed how everything was sort of out of our control that the science educator being interviewed made point to say that the Earth is a speck in this vast universe of other celestial bodies. It’s like this thing that is greater than us and it is greater than us. And many people put their hopes and dreams and thoughts into it wondering what it would be like to be out there what it was like out there. Then this horrible news came throughgoes to show how truly powerless we are, on this, that is just a speck, in a vast universe. Very powerful.

If Oswald really was an intelligence agent playing the role of a socialist, pro-Cuban dissident, he played his role very well. His talking points didn't fall into any stereotypes, which we observe by "glowies" in today's political discourse. But then again, his mission might have been to infiltrate these circles or get their trust and not to make them look bad publically. Aget or not, he was a very bright man in any case. If he indeed a played a role, I would go even so far to say he was above intelligent.

I’m watching it now and even though it happened thirteen years before I was born, I teared up a little bit. Singer and teen heartthrob at the time, Paul Anka, was on tour in Europe, and was supposed to perform one last concert in Warsaw, Poland. But when the news came through via an international news feed on the radio; he broke down and started crying. Needless to say, he couldn’t perform that night. But he promised his fans there that he’d make it up to them, and wanted to at least say good night to them. His voice was raspy, and they could tell that he’d be crying. And this happened 30 years before he became a naturalized citizen of the U.S.
