Relieve hamstring pain and tightness with self-massage

- If you run, sprint, skate, dance, play soccer, football, basketball, or even if you sit for hours a day, it is very possible you have experienced injuries, pain, or tightness in the hamstrings.
Follow along with me as we treat the hamstrings with self-massage, myofascial release, active release, and stretching. We will relax and gently lengthen the hamstrings, setting the stage for healing and recovery.
In order to prevent further injury, make sure you warm up before exercise or athletic activity, and cool down and stretch afterwards. Also make sure you are doing exercises to strengthen your glutes. Weak gluteal muscles are a common cause of hamstring injury.

What a difference!! I had no idea the muscle/fascia near the sit bones were so sore! I feel like my legs are an inch longer now! This is so much more effective than just stretching alone. I am hoping this has a positive benefit for the pelvic floor as well. Thank you!

what's your thoughts on these theragun massage devices ?
When used safely, they can be effective for relaxing tight muscles. They are not a substitute for a professional massage therapist, but they can be helpful in between sessions.
