- From all the media coverage surrounding Magaluf in the past few days, expect more bad news coming out from Magaluf this Summer.
So in this video, I look at recent reports about Magaluf in the media and why these stories can change your perception of the area.
Plus we look at the reality of how big Magaluf Strip actually is. So if you’ve been watching the news, you will see it’s a relatively small party area.

IMHO. More rubbish is spouted on You Tube nobody reads the Tabloids anymore. The comment section of any Tabloid/Broadsheet online is where the damage is spread
The demographic that comment on Newspaper Articles are not 'Young People' Its the Boomers' They've actually found a home on YT. The Party Animals will arrive on mass come the Summer. Nothing will change. As for sensationalism that is the modern way 'Engagement' is short. Throw in some CAPS and misleading typography you can't put that Genie back in the box . Great thank you for the positive and correct information. Im flying to Ibiza in August and i have to admit I’ve had an influx of people approaching me with absolute nonsense. “ You can’t drink in the clubs “ “ you can’t drink in the bars “ and personal I just felt a lot of these people will believe any kind of sensationalism they read or see on social media.

For goodness sake it’s literally one street ! would be interested to know if the hotels that have reduced the amount of drinks in all inclusive packages have also reduced the prices, in light of the problems with obesity would reducing the amount of food available to people not be taken into consideration but then what else would the hotels do with their leftovers ?
No they didn't infact the prices of hotels are going up and it doesn't show any signs of stopping yet. It will eventually price alot of people out unfortunately.
How is the All Inclusive light going to be done? Three drinks with dinner and three with tea so are you supposed to sit in the dining room until you've finished your drinks because I've heard they're stopping people from taking them out of the dining area.

Just home from Santa Ponsa, we took a day trip into Magaluf by bus. No hassle no complications and the only ones i saw being a pain were a Spanish granny and a few Germans. Its all nations....

Magaluf is a great place to vsit, beaches , bars, restaurants all brilliant, the resort is definitely worth spending time in.lots families there when we were over a few weeks ago. I see no problem. Its all rubbish in the news, seems they wantvto put people of visiting spain for some reason. And i wonder if weather being tampered with lately with all those odd looking clouds criss crossed in the sky

The British media was showing protest yesterday in majorca and ibiza protesting against tourism. The Spanish island including the canaries are all protesting. This is not good. Holiday makers will go elsewhere.

The thing is, particularly with the canaries, they aren’t protesting against tourists but affordable accommodation. A bit like in the UK with, for example Cornwall, where people are buying property to let meaning locals are unable to afford their own accommodation. But as usual the gutter press are twisting it. It’s almost like they don’t want us to have anything to do with Europe 😡
I’m here in Calvià Beach at the moment and all is good, the weather is lovely and warm and it’s quite calm and peaceful at the moment which I prefer before the height of the season ❤

Great video. Been staying in palma nova the last 15 years came over with my young daughters now they are 15 and nearly 17. Magaluf has got more and more family friendly every year. Never been a problem day time always pleasant evenings busier but doesn’t stop us going over and enjoying. I’d recommend anyone to go over there and stay with and with our family. Lovely place.
Hello Alexandra, I have recently started watching your videos on my television (different account) through the McMaster that I have been following for a while. I'm not British but Dutch and I understand English well so I can follow almost everything you say in your videos. Very nice and informative videos. I would like to respond to your video about "bad news" about nuisance and drinking by British holiday guests. I regularly visit Spain (mainland) and especially the Costa Blanca, Benidorm area, and when I hear a lot of noise and music in cafes and pubs, it is almost always British people who have been drinking and drinking since early in the morning. talking very loudly and drinking until late at night. What is it with Brits and alcohol? Okay, young people from the Netherlands also cause a nuisance, but British people of all ages drink a lot of alcohol. The drinks shops are always full of British people, just like the tobacco shops (I don't smoke but I do walk past them). Why are they always so loud? And the comments about Magaluf were not all over the media. Only in a couple of papers. And I have to say it your comment was far worse.This is my genuine opinion.
there is always bad somewhere, just dont believe what you read, drunk holiday makers will always cause a bit of trouble, if you dont like it then go somewhere quieter at night!

Party boats still continue, they just don’t leave from Magaluf Pier anymore. (They haven’t done for a few years now)
@@SCOTTCOD4 Thanks for that, It was on Steve and Anita's video I saw it. this was just the other day when Steve said they were stopping the party boats from picking up and bringing back to Magaluf. He said it was a new thing. Does not affect me, but the young tourists need something special for them on holiday. I know the government want to change Magaluf to a family resort, but if they leave nothing left for the young ones, businesses will suffer.

@@MallorcaUnderTheSun Alex it was Steve in his news update who said the tourist boats were not leaving or returning to Magaluf, and made it sound as if it was new. His news update is still available if you want to see for yourself. He was reading it from the Majorca bulletin.

TBH, the resort is only as bad as the people that go there, I always had enough to feel happy but some people went mad, remember seeing a lass so drunk she could not talk properly or stand up tried everything I could to help get her up but she was beyond help, the Garda civil (hope I got that right) turned up so I got out of there (top of the strip) and went back towards my hotel.
next morning she was out and about looking worse for wear and saying how she had learned a lesson thanks to how the police handled the incident, yes I met her later that night and she was sober as a judge and only drinking cola

Don't bother going to Spain & risk getting fined for misbehaving stay in London do what you want, sleep on the grass verge on park Lane in a tent stay there for as long as you want & the police turn a blind eye to it all....
I personally spoke to a police officer on Sunday about the encampment of tents on park Lane and there reply was"they are only sleeping "
Its real shame London seems to have become a lawless society. 🤔🤔

I'm 43, Magaluf is fantastic, the beach is beautiful, food is great and while there are lots of people there in the summer, ive never seen any fights or trouble. I'm sure it happens but it's safer than most places. The irony of a British Tabloid saying people are acting up in Majorca......have you seen London lately.
Magaluf's time as a party resort is over, glad i got to experinece it once
